sound 804a have a minor fix in a driver.
In sound A, an "all generic" inf is seen to cause grief time and time again, and its extention got renamed. (the driver has a dozen or so specific inf files..)
In sound B, one of the sigmatel had generic hwids competing with other models.

I'm not sure I like your tone either.  In your previous posts, you sound curt, even demanding.  Not once have you said "Please" or "Thank you".  Jaak is doing his best.  We all are.  We do NOT get paid to provide these DriverPacks.  We have real jobs that do not revolve around DriverPacks (or software).  We do so to help the common good.  We are NOT your personal code monkeys. 
Might I humbly suggest you do one of these things:
1) Be nice, and say "thanks" every now and then for what we provide for free.
or
2) Make your own damn DriverPacks

Hi Samlab,
I don't ming seeing reports on testfiles some team members uploaded, but you ought to be aware they are for testing. When we see reports on them, we can improve on them.
A fix we need to get tested can backfire, and not all testfiles are made by the same person, so there may be different approaches tested for same issues. (some files were with some experimental work and deviate from the standard DriverPacks.)

graphics A 805_nightly is the first, and you see it is 18Mb smaller than the release.
That is not abnormal.

That is what currently happens.

Someone reports an issue a test pack is made available to address that issue. hopefully they test and report back.

Sometimes we just update a driver when a newer version is released. when this happens it is posted in the testing team forum. (the public doesn't have access to that forum)...

So since the test packs are not meant to be available to the public, the posts related to them are not available either. Unless we need a specific user to test with it. That is to say we dont release them publicly so the related posts are not released publicly either.

When they are released then the changelog details the changes

well... sadly, not always do our ideas work that is why we test them before we release them.

So we don't want the files available to just anyone. It would create more problems than it solved.

We don't get many reports of issues because we do our testing in a somewhat controlled environment.

We don't control access to the test files because we do want them tested but we don't want people to use them for purposes other than test installs. if someone does use a test pack on a production machine they can't in good conscience blame us for any issues.

anyone who access's and uses them should be aware they are for testing only and may cause problems.
They might work too and if they do work we will release them. The best thing for most people is to stick to the officialy released packs.

but... we always are looking for people to test and don't wish to stop them, as long as they are willing to accept that they may not always work.

I will try to explain this..
The 8.04 release of graphics A had added 174.74 in folder \N2 and it had the "unified Nvidia" 169.21 in folder \N1.

The release before that was 8.02, and it did not have a folder \N2 because folder \N1 was all that was needed..
We had a unified original Nvidia release since sept 2007 (7.09 release)

So, here comes 174.53... I was looking at that one and its mobile version because I wanted to upgrade \N1, and that combo had a massive list of supported devices, so I want that tested separately. (and that version has something I will have to undo... Like I say, it is a TEST version..)
I did not upload that immediately, and two days later I get the instructions to make the ATI files.
So I do ATI as well, and upload the testpack with the two filesets.
They work for me on older cards.

That's all there is to it.
Oh, it is funny sometimes. Because you made me look I decided I make me a little experimental for my own use..
(a unified combo.)

a next upload can be expected in a day or so.
That should include \N2 and some fixes.
