This BSOD on some systems with nForce chipset on DP 8.05a (http://dev.driverpacks.thesneaky.com/dr … 32_805a.7z) - example:
Athlon 64 3200+ @ 2000
mb ASUS A8N-SLI (nForce 4)
video GF 6600GT PCI-E Galaxy
ram 2048 (4x512 Dual DDR-400) Kingston
2 HDD: Samsung HD160JJ SATA2 160 Gb

Hi
I looked at DP_Chipset_wnt5_x86-32_805a.7z testfile you found and uploaded a more conventional version..
(it was a testfile, and testfiles can have such result.)

if you want to test, here you go.

(this chipset file has some updates that go along with intel files we have in testing for mass storage..)
We try to keep old drivers along with newer ones, and you found out for us that some changes in Nvidia files backfired.
I undid those changes.

humm Jaak is there any good reasons why you did not include the changes I did in 8.05a ? This is a nvidia issue here, nothing to do with the changes I did.

the same problem
only on nForce chipsets. seems to be the NVIDIA drivers issue

Hi everybody, just for information... 8.05c has problems with nvidia yet, given BSOD on a Asus p5n-e sli...with 8.03 everything is fine.

I do want to THANK you for the report.
I would like to know some details like the settings in BIOS.
(AHCI?)
Also, a DriverPacks BASE log because I want to see what other testpacks you used.

testpacks need testers, we really do need testers.
anybody who is grabbing a testpack is expected to give more detail that what you did, but, NO report is worse than a report with little detail.

I am having the same problem (BSOD with that message), which is preventing me from using DriverPacks.

Motherboard: ASUS A8N5X (nForce4 AMD chipset)

The following driver doesn't cause any problem:

Apparently, this is fixed with the latest build (9.02). No more BSOD for me.
