Topic: [PROB] 8600M GT on DELL laptop: device could not be started

I just created a new Windows XP CD mit integrated (Method 2) driverpack and latest packs (e.g. Graphics A: 8.02)

On my DELL laptop VOSTRO 1700 the Nvidia 8600M GT is marked with a yellow explanation mark and error message "device could not be started"

Therefore I downloaded the latest driver from www.laptopvideo2go.com and used the latest .inf version 3.253 (a modified .inf to let all nvidia graphics card (the OEM and mobile GPU, too!) work with the latest official NVIDIA drivers).

Can this be implemented somehow?

Open G\N1\nv4_go.inf and let me know what you read on line#2 wink

I've heard of your error before but can't find it for the life of me.

I faced the same problem using DP_Graphics_A_wnt5_x86-32_804.7z
I solved it by installing a different driver but if you want any detail to implement the solution in driverpacks, I can answer your questions smile

I couldn't find any "nv4_go.inf" file among the setup files of correctly working nvidia driver.

I downloaded the working driver from Dell's site, not from laptopvideo2go.
