Topic: [BSOD] 0x0000007B Error with MassStorage 7.12.1

STOP ***  0x0000007B (0xF79A8524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x0000000000)

Well, here's another can of worms.

On this motherboard my laptop hard drive is hooked up through SATA. I looked in the BIOS and there was no IDE option for the SATA controller, only SATA and RAID were avaliable (tried both). Removed Mass Storage Driver Pack and then everything worked. (using WinXP SP2)

Here are the details.

Re: [BSOD] 0x0000007B Error with MassStorage 7.12.1

Try this, http://dev.driverpacks.thesneaky.com/dr … -32_803.7z

Re: [BSOD] 0x0000007B Error with MassStorage 7.12.1

I test this new package and i got an error during install:
File LSI_SAS.SYS not found
and all stop and reboot.

Is it on my side or something wrong with the package?

Thanks

i have the same problem with "DP_MassStorage_wnt5_x86-32_803.7z"  on German WinXP
by the 7.09.2..7.12.x versions i get always a BSoD.

Re: [BSOD] 0x0000007B Error with MassStorage 7.12.1

Hi, you ran 80xx slipstream to XP, and it failed on LSI?
the 803 could do that... 8015 should fix that.
http://dev.driverpacks.thesneaky.com/dr … 32_8015.7z

a name like 803 was wrong, but it is a test version.
8015 is also a test version. later than 803...

Please remove old testpacks, and delete QSC folder before you re-stream a source.
If you are NOT using the base RC test version, turn on QSC.

yes, i have slipstreamed v803 and installed on a P3/500Mhz  and it failed on LSI

and now the latest testversion 8015 seems to work
i have installed it on the above mentioned PC and on another PC  P4/2.5Ghz without trouble

please note that these PC's doesn't have SATA/RAID controllers

thx for your help

(sorry for my bad engl.)

Re: [BSOD] 0x0000007B Error with MassStorage 7.12.1

Hi
thanks.
Jeff reported Sill3112 will work when it is set to RAID in BIOS (which is something we can expect).

Via txtmode worked, and PnP did not pick up the hotplug driver stuff.
The nulled driver \V3 has that hotplug driver.
The information we have is that a "nulled" driver will not be used.
(I will have to look at something... I am begining to wonder about what "will not be used" really means.)

The answer was 42?
Kind regards, Jaak.

Re: [BSOD] 0x0000007B Error with MassStorage 7.12.1

a nulled driver is not copied to the 1386 folder and not added to txtsetup
but should still be available during pnp setup - the ini entries should only apply for mass storage text mode and the finisher for all others
