[REQ] Promise FastTrak TX4310 BartPE

It's awesome to see a first post from a user with such good details.
HWID, description of the device, method used, pack version, trouble shooting you did,
[REQ] in the title, posted in the correct forum, and a link to the driver.
I almost fell out of my chair! Woot!

I also agree - you have found a driver that is not included in the packs.

I will take care of it, thx Platoon. Did you do a search for the inf and sys file name to make sure they are not duplicated ?

since the name of the file is unique teh tag name should be the same as the original file name
we only change the tag name if it is a duplicate name.

so ms_1_tag="pf4310"

should be

ms_count=1
ms_1_deviceName="Promise FastTrak TX4310"
ms_1_tag="fttxr5_O"
ms_1_sysFile="fttxr5_O.sys"
ms_1_hwids="PCI\VEN_105A&DEV_3515"

We already have too many drivers for 2000 -
to enable this one for use with 2000 we must pick another one to disable or we will get memory errors
ms_1_exc_disableIfOS="w2k"

this driver does not show support for 2k3
ms_1_exc_skipIfOS="2k3"

@Overflow:  That is weird because the description on Promise's website says the driver is for Windows XP/2003.

IDK if it does or doesnt for sure because i don't have the the hardeware for testing.

many times 2k3 will use XP drivers but not always so i errored on the side of safety

feedback is required - anyone with this hardware care to try 2k3 and report back?

I am currently building the new BartPE Disc and will inform you as soon as possible if the new Driverpack works.

is your disk xp or 2k3 based ???

there was some confusion about whether it worked with 2k3 or not
if you could test it that would be awsome!
