Topic: [FIXED] Sound blaster x-fi isn't being detected w/ latest sound packs

Hi I just did a new install with all of the latest driver packs and when windows xp came up it didn't find the sound blaster x-fi so I downloaded the drivers from creative here are my wids thanks in advance.

Can you tell the specific creative sound-blaster x-fi model you have ? There is more than one. A link to a working driver would be appreciate too.

Hi here is the direct download I am using the sound blaster x-fi platinum it worked in the previous version of the sound driver packs but one problem that I have been trying to bring to your attention that is that the wrong control panel gets installed it should install the audio consul but it installs the audio control panel and that doesn't work with the x-fi sound cards thanks for your help.

I think I found the issue. In the Sound Pack A, the CR\1 and CR\2 folder cover the same hardware device (HWID), including your sound card. So the duplicated HWIDs in wdma_emu.inf is probably causing the issue. I will release a fixed update pack probably tonight or in the next days. Since there is like 100 requests i'll try to do as much as I can tonight. If you are rush, you can remove manually the CR\2 folder. Try that for now, I'll post the link when the updated pack is ready. And plz give feedback if it works!

Not yet, its a good thing you reminds me. Jaak just gave me the documentation in order to make your panels works. I'll give a shot and see what happens.
