Topic: Modified modem, misc, graphics C, and Sound B to address Dell laptops

I modified modem and misc by adding the remaining drivers that are not installed in device manager or Microsoft Update detects as needing to update for current generation Dell latitude laptops. For those Dell laptop owners who want a clean slate on Microsoft Update and device manager, try these for testing:

Misc:

- Added "HID Non-User Input Data filter driver" in a new folder "2' from MS Update catalog to D\3\X\MS\
- Added "O2Micro - Other Hardware - O2Micro OZ776 USB CCID Smartcard Reader" and "USB Smart Card reader" from MS Update catalog to D\3\X\C\O\

Modem:

- Added Dell's specific driver for the Conexant D110 modem on new Latitudes from http://ftp.us.dell.com/comm/R114200.EXE to a new folder "15" in D\3\M\C\

Graphics C:

- Modified DP Graphics C to include Dell's specific driver for their quadro equiped models. Added the driver found here http://ftp.us.dell.com/video/R126608.EXE in a new folder called "6" in D\G\N\

Sound B:

- Modified DP Sound B that includes Dell's specific Sigmatel audio driver. I used the driver found here:
http://ftp.us.dell.com/audio/R122161.EXE and put it in a new folder called "3" in D\S\S\D

Does the 3rd Party DP host no longer work or why Rapidshare?
Their speed is ususall good, but you can merely DL one file at a time and have to wait hours before you can start your next DL sad mad


Also, this isn't so much a modification but an update to the packs, if I read that correctly.
Hence, we can replace the old files with this one, as no files were dropped but some got added, making these packs the better ones to use, right?

If so, please upload on the proper host (if that works, else complain here so I can check with Bâshrat the Sneaky about it), then I will update the entries in the sticky! smile

a quick note
methinks your addition to grafics C 704mod can be slimmed down.
To do that, you'll probably need extra guidance and information on how to uncab the extracted files..

I recall there were posts about it in the team areas.

The answer was 42?

frag: do you want to formerly update DP_Misc yourself? - you might want to put the O2 smartcardreader bit into my pack?
I have updated the modem one myself with the newer modem too for the D830's
I think the graphics one got udpated in main pack.
The sound one I think got updated too in main pack but doesnt seem to work.

These should go in the smartcard reader driver pack. Maybe they are already in.
