Topic: [NOT FIXABLE] Small issue with DriverPack Graphics A 6.09

Hi, there is a small issue in this pack, I have installed them on my laptop that has a ATI Mobility Radeon 7500. I have slipstreamed drivers with the second method. When the Winxp GUI installation check hardware for driver installation, will show a popup who tell me that file ati2mtag.sys doesn't exist in this directory C:\D\G\A\6\.\B_34839. I check this directory, and doesn't exist. The file ati2mtag.sys is in this directory C:\D\G\A\6\B_32846.

There is another issue, but I can't understand if is a my fault or not. After the installation of winxp, if I type the command dxdiag in run command, and check for direct3d, directdraw and agp acceleration, they are all disabled and I can't enable them. I can't understand why it happens. sad

did u look in your bios to enable graphical agp support?

My laptop (Compaq nc610c) hasn't any option for enable or disable agp. The strange thing is that I will install Omegadrivers in xp, all works well. But if I slipstream Omegadrivers in winxp installation cd, I have the same problem, no Direct3d, Directdraw and agp acceleration. I don't know why... yikes

Well then it's definitely NOT due to the driver I've included...

I'll try to find the changes that have to be made to the system to enable Direct3d, DirectDraw and AGP acceleration, so I can make an exception for your GPU...

Please post the HWID of your GPU already! (The entire DPsFnshr.log is fine too.)

hy guys.. i've the same problem..
I use DP 6.08.6 complete, with 3d part driver..
the system doesn't install my ati radeon 9000 mobile and my monitor plugnplay.. i need to select the correct directory for ati2mtag.sys file driver, and  need to clik over next button for monitor install driver..

Credo che il problema sia diverso invece, a me si installa correttamente, ma non ho nessuna accelerazione, ho provato anke a mettere gli omegadriver nel cd di windows e installarlo con i driver "slipstrimmati", ma mi fa la stessa cosa, invece se installo, sempre parlando degli omega, dopo ke windows ha installato tutto funzionano correttamente, perciò non capisco ke cavolo ci sia di sbagliato. L'unico modo ke ho per ovviare è ovviamente installare gli omega dopo ke windows abbia installato tutto. Ah la versione 6.7 degli omega mi dà problemi mentre con la 6.5 nessun problema. Prova anke te, almeno finkè non si risolve

The issue with the file not found for the driver in D\G\A\6 is solved in the new DriverPack Graphics B, which is yet to be released.

The problem with the driver itself though remains a mystery, and even more due to the fact that the two of you decided to discuss it in Italian! Could you please post transcripts?

I have told to Orei the things that I have told to you in English... If you wish to understand what I have said this is tha translation:
I told to Orei that my graphic card install correctly (expect for directory issue reported in the first post), but I haven't any hardware acceleration (Direct3d, DirectDraw and AGP acceleration). If I try to install Omegadrivers 6.5, the acceleration works well and I haven't any problem, but if I slipstream these drivers, in my winxp installation cd, I have the same problem, I don't have any acceleration and I can't understand why. With omegadrivers 6.7 I have a BSOD, so for my card is better to use Omegadrivers 6.5.
That's all.

Then this problem remains somewhat a mystery... I'm afraid I won't be able to find the true cause until I've got the system in my own hands... which is a problem when you know you live in Italy and I live in Belgium. My only suggestion is that you always install the Omega 6.5 drivers manually on this specific system. You could automate that through the finisher: use the hwid as a +hwid requirement for the setup to be executed.

Only the DPsFnshr.ini must be edited. A quick example for what you will need to add:
