edit... -> @compstuff
When the guys are trying stuff out they like to have notes with the files.
the files are used to make sure we don't have ten drivers in the pack for just one monitor
We strip these files out for any final editions...
edit... -> @all
they are also a flag to the team that a non Testing Team member has been getting into the cookie jar
and why my versioning tutorial was referenced
edit... -> So people can learn to spot them and so someone could contribute thier own with less confusion.
If we look at the guide it is obviously a nightly y.mm.v7
one digit past the subversion, a 7 in this case. i would have gone with the day of the month (04) that way i can tell how old it is from the version type.
edit... -> the next paragraph is intended as advice for anyone wishing to post a pack....
the Point is MOST PEOPLE don't know It is a TEST or a 'Nightly' unless we tell them
- when we put the pack up for testing edit...-> then we should CLEARLY state it is a Nightly!
- see this stuff ain't as easy as you thought...
It is normal that you will find some of these types of leftovers with our Nightlies.
(usually in C:\ but %SystemDrive% is not always C: )
By shareing these files it prevents the people working on it from duplicating duplication of duplicated work.
