One thing remains unclear. Did you try to install the drivers through the installation utility because NO driver was installed? If not, what was the reason for running the ATI Catalyst setup?

Waht do you mean?
I tried to run ati control center , but it didnt run
So i tried to reinstall ati control center.
That didnt work either , so i tried to install the driver from the ati site.
When it rebooted it was 256 colors only , so i tried to install them manualy.
And then i saw that there wehere 2.
But... since 6.8 is in the pack , and the one i downloaded from ati.com was also 6.8 somethings wrong here.
