I have an ASUS M2N32SLI-Deluxe and hdd compatibility is set  to IDE in BIOS
drivers from D\M\N\5\ should be installed

If I try to install them manually it doesn't work. Also the drivers from Asus web site manually doesn't work but with setup they get installed.

I couldnt find any info about what pack versions and DriverPacks base version you had used in the post above.

if you havent used DriverPacks perhaps you could search our forum for "SAD disk" and read the posts at the end of teh stickied topic about our script and updateing a machine post install with DriverPacks

sorry I forgot 806F is the latest used; from 804 through 806F all the packs were tested for the above issue
I'm using DriverPacks from 2007 back then I was having an ASROCK Motherboard ULI chipset based
