They say that for EVERY hotfix.
Even the Radeon HD AGP cards hotfix, although, as you know, they only differ by some REG entries.

Sounds like an idea.
Of course, nightlies are "more liberal", that's what their name means.
Basically, it's a release of "what has been done so far" at the end of each working day (aka "night").
Takes no warranty for nothing by definition (rather alpha than beta).


Personally, I have made only good experiences with ATI hotfix drivers, however as you may now, I am generally against inlcuding anything beta in the DP releases - that is unless it fixes a serious bug.
So it's a green light coming from me - not that I would have anything to say in that matter wink

7600GS not work with 177.35 (DP 806C) sad but works with old 175.16 and newest 177.41 (http://ru.download.nvidia.com/Windows/1 … l_whql.exe)

177.41 with a modified .inf works great for all nv4

ATI hotfix is in.
Nvidia 175.16 drivers are in (replaces buggy 177 drivers)

To Do:
Add new nvidia 177.41 drivers.

Tested DP Graphics A 806D on a laptop with a GeForce 8600M GT: problem still persists.

After extended testing my resume - 177.41 and 177.35 works not godd om many PCs, but 175.16 and 175.19 build for 5/6/7/8/9 series and works good on all desktop PCs! Result - replace 175.16 on the 175.19 in the 806D!!!

But 806E is uploading now with 177.41.

The only difference between 806D and 806E is the 175.16->177.41 update.

Why do you ignore version of the official version of cards for the series 5-9 175.19?

Wow, as odd as it may seem, selecting US at nvidia.com selects the 175.16 version.  Any other language selects 175.19...weird. hmm
Go to www.nvidia.com and see for yourself.  I was toying with 177.41 for these nightly builds.
If 177.41 doesn't work, then we'll revert back to 175.19 since it's the WHQL driver of choice by nvidia themselves.

Sigh. I'll build another one.

Testing drivers on operating system!
When I try to update package firewood 175.16 at 175.19 +91.36 - to 175.19
When I try to update 175.19 at 177.41 +91.36 - sits firmly 175.19 and not updated - at the earliest time the error was read in memory and lasted rebut
177.41 tried to update 175.19 - 175.19 remained
Delete graphics card driver - remained a standard VGA and delivered 177.41 - embarked

Conclusions:
1. 177.41 from scratch is, but then the system understands where firewood home, and where artificial (through increased inf)
2. 175.19 - home firewood - and recommend them to leave - will operate stably
3. update old driver will not be able to 177.41

PS - The results of testing when installing the system through the DP_BASE summed tomorrow and very forward DP drivers 175.19

my main machine motherboard decided to quit on me.
I had to look for a motherboard with similar raid capabilities to get access to the two data arrays. (all data still readable in this more modernn mobo, thank god.)

Hi time we get repair sorted out.
system drive went 07 when I migrated it, so I set up on a blank.
(I had not used M1 KTD when I set up that machine so long ago. I think M1 ktd -short'path'ed- is capable of surviving a mishap like this.)

What's everyone's thoughts on nvidia PhysX drivers?  Needed/not needed?
We can add that functionality to DPBase as a discriminator (like ATICCC/ATICCP) along with adding support for AVIVO by creating dummy .ins files.
Overflow?  This is possible right?

Thanks SamLab for doing all that testing.  From what I can understand of your posts, you recommend 175.19 as the overall best driver.

Heh, sorry about that.  Had a power failure mid-upload.  So I deleted the partial file, then re-uploaded when I had a chance.

806G online.  See first post.
Reverted nvidia from 177.41 to 175.19 per SamLab request.

I didn't even get a chance to test yet.
806F was working fine for me on 8800GTS
