Topic: can i use the driver pack in this method

im planning to use it to my windows 98 and use it as a source and integrate the driver pack in this windows and burn

it.... is this possible and can be done? or the driver pack is limited to windows 2000 and up only???

2nd im planning also to make a driver only cd so i can use it in any os to find unknown drivers

but i see the driver packs is compressed with 7zip if i slipstream it is it necesary to extract the files first or i

have to left it compressed and when i find the driver will it detect the files needed even its still compressed

Re: can i use the driver pack in this method

Hi
the 98 DriverPacks pack floating around (and linked in a topic here) can be used in 98.
If you have it, expand it and burn to a CDR.

Last time I used it was less than 4 months ago. (98 is not dead, but close)

The answer was 42?
Kind regards, Jaak.

my lan card is

PCI\VEN_10D9&DEV_0531&SUBSYS_00000000&REV_25\3&61AAA01&0&60 : Macronix MX98715-Based Ethernet Adapter (Generic)

it seems this hardware isnt supported with the driver pack? or im the one mistaken

cause i really need it i cant use internet with my windows 98 cause i cant see the driver needed

in my hardware list i shows ethernet

but when i use windows 2000 and up it can detect my lan card normally...
