Hello,

When I put these files in $1 he deletes the DP_Install_Tool.cmd but the folders bin and nt6 stay in the root of my installation, can I also delete this folders after install or are they still needed for one of the two methods? I believe that the D folders must not be removed if I am correct.

Method 1 according to your readme file says that it will scan on removable drives, when I use it with the setupcomplete the files are placed in my root, will windows scan there also when adding new hardware?

My goal is to have an installation where when I add a new device windows will automagicly find the correct drivers, I think method 1 is the way to go or am I wrong and do I need to create a disk for it?

Thanks in advance!

My problem is solved exept for the latter of the notifications.
I did a clean install but i think it's the server here i couldnt connect today because MySQL did not work on driverpacks.

I have got the same problem here as above since updating the mass storage yesterday.
Another error i have is this:

http://i14.tinypic.com/86o5089.jpg

I get this at random times, while slipstreaming or even whenever i am not yet slipstreaming (i use Vista)

And when checking for "updates"

English version smile

Any ideas?

You removed it from the startup folder by fixing the attributes for the desktop.ini, but it also shows up in the statmenu and "bureau-accessoires" i do not know the english version of that folder. I think that should solve that issue. Why the Finisher won't start on my configuration is a riddle to me, all bases worked good asside from other issues but from this base i cannot get the Finisher to start with GuiRunOnceEx at 937 or any other number for that mather.

mhuwaaa problem is not entirely fixed, the above is not correct... it is partially fixed when i use GuiRunOnce but then the desktop.ini issue arises again (not in the startup folder (you fixed that) but in startmenu and some other folders). i now have completely rewritten the winnt.sif and precopy.cmd and made some batchfiles because i cannot wait any longer i need a working install cd... you can lock this topic if nobody else has this problem if you like.

This fixed my problem.

But i choose RunOnceEx at 999 but i will choose RunOnce for the test i am doing now.

And how do you install your programs? Runonce? WPi?.......

No i don't use WPI... just the RunOnce the base creates in the winnt.sif but he puts the tag in there with a tab (white space) before it.... i manually removed the space and testing again now.

It does work for everybody else, so it must be something specific to your system wink

LOL i think you tought that before wink But ok, i did not report this as a bug either... just trying to solve my problem.

I do not know, driverpacks aranges that for me...

But i choose RunOnceEx at 999 but i will choose RunOnce for the test i am doing now.

Yes i do a lot of things before but driverpacks as last one... the iso installs perfect BUT no finisher smile

Hello here i am again wink

When integrating, this time gladly no errors but a new problem arises... the Finisher is NOT starting after the Windows Install... it just starts windows.

@Friends4U,

do you start your unattended installation from dos (with winnt.exe)?

Bootable CD, why?

atiide.sys is simply not copyed to my source.

I can smile but that obiously will not help you...

I use a vanilla XP with SP2 Slipstreamed + the UpdatePack (january) from MEULC + WMP, DirectX, .NET and IE7.

Editted first post with some more info wink

Pfoei.... glad to hear i am not the only one wink but what the h*ll i never gave a bogus bug raport smile
Are you guys using addons from the ryanvm board? or only the updatepack with driverpacks... perhaps it could be on of the other addons...

Hope to see you reply soon.

Sorry sad Same problem... only when i use the driverpacks.

Downloading now, i will check imediatly.

Latest version of all packs and base...

Bâshrat the Sneaky wrote:

@dolivas & muiz: this issue is completely unrelated to any new version of DP MassStorage, the last BASE and the CURRENT MassStorage DP should work together flawlessly.

@Friends4U: Will look into this ASAP, though it did work properly for 3 testers.

Ok smile Thank you!

Stay tuned

So my problem could be connected to this?

Hi,

After installing the latest driverpack base 7.01.4 i get (while in the copying stage (first boot) of setup) the error that setup cannot find the ATIIDE.sys file.
My install is OK without the driverpacks so it must be something in the driverpacks.

and much much more :)......

As you can see above at the [FloppyFiles.1] line the ATIIDE.sys file is mentioned twice... i do not know if that i good.

And last but not least a mention of the specified file in DP_MassStorage_wnt5_x86-32.ini:

blablabla....

ms_1_deviceName = "ATI PCI IDE Bus Master Controller (WXP)"

Greetings,

Richard (Friends4U)

I will soon...

I slipstreamed the Dutch updatepack with the RVM Intregator after that i made a few tweaks with NLite, made an image and the image is perfect, if i slipstream the driverpacks and then make an image i get the desktop.ini and the missing newdev.dl_ (and perhaps more, but i quit setup than)

No driverpack no problem... simpel as that. But not preffered because i would like to have the driverpack...
