Hi Bâshrat the Sneaky,
do you have any update on when or if this function has been added..?

1. Right, ive tested 7.06 & we have the same problem as 7.05. The driver does not install for the Broadcom NIC.

2. Ive added the line in RED to the ini file in the LAN pack but that didnt work either. Did i add the line correctly jtdoom? it wasnt to clear on the above post.

Im just going to try 7.06 now.. ill be creating with autoimage for my RIS image. i should have some results around midday.

Dell network driver for GX520, 620 & precision 380 can be dowloaded here

Ive got the same problem with Dell GX520/620 using this NIC. Worked ok with 7.04 but the new 7.05 pack dosent install the driver. The Adapter has the exclamation mark.

you can download from here..

looks like its an issue with the dpsfnsr.exe being executed from an Autoit script.

im in the process of changing my RunonceEX.cmd over to autoit. if I put back the cmd RunonceEX it executes wihout a problem. if i put it back to executing from my RunoncEX.exe Autoitscript i get that error message.

no log file is created.

all ive got left after DPSfnshr.exe has run in c:\ is

Bin
Install
dpsfnshr.exe
& normal windows files & folders

When my dpsfnshr runs it runs ok but I get the following message during the fnshring process.

Settings file is missing.

What causes this error message to occur.? Would this be related to Autoimage file copying issue.? I presume the settings file is the dpsfnshr.ini file.

ve got the same problem with the Dell latitude 120L & sigmatel.

http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=1492

For some reason after installing this driver dosent install correctly & there is a exclamation mark next to one of its components in device manager. it happens on all the 120L's ive installed lately. if you reinstall the driver once in windows from the driver pack it installs fine. There seems to be a problem with the install during XP install.

Sounds good. I dont mind editing the ini file also.

fixed the problem, ive had to remove the un7zip.exe & 7-zip32.dll & replace with 7z.exe from previous driver packs. this then works with Autoimage.

Ive think ive found the problem.

in my previous images the $OEM$\$1\Bin folder had 7z.exe, Devpath.exe, dpsfnshr.7z & dpsfnshr.ini.

now the bin file from latest driver packs has

un7zip.exe, 7-zip32.dll, devpath.exe, dpsfnshr.7z & dpsfnshr.ini.

looks like we need to change all references in Presetup.cmd from 7z.exe to un7zip.exe.

I have been using the driver packs with autoimage for a year now with no major problems. I have now encountered a problem where my RunonceEX.cmd which points to the dpsfnsher.exe reports the file dosent exist. For some reason now with the latest packs the DriverPacks finisher is not being extracted during the install. How can I resolve this issue.
I thought it might of been caused by the presetup.cmd from the 1.05 Autoimge script pack which has fixes for two cmd screens which apear during the XP install. ive tried it wothout adding this presetup.cmd but this also reports the same problem.

Here is my current presetup.cmd which is created during the autoimage image creation process. can anyone see a problem here or have any other idea what is causing the problem. Hopefully mr Bâshrat the Sneaky himslef will be able to nail this one..

When runonceEX.cmd runs DPsFnshr.exe it reports windows cannot find "c:\DPsFnshr.exe". ive just checked by access through the default share & the exe file is not there. the DPsFnshr.7z is in the bin folder & there is a DPsFnshr.ini file in c:\. why is the DPsFnshr.exe not apearing to extract into c:\

DPsFnshr.ini

its working now after rerunning Autoimage. i did have a message about driver pack finisher failing but im rerunning & install to see if this now re occurs.

Ive just updated my packs to the latest bar the Chipset as i use the 6.05 to avoid the Dell issue.

run the packs in my Autoimage as per normal. setup my relivent RIS image & installed a PC. When the final XP reboot goes through the Answer file is lost & the XP questions apear. once i run through the questions & get into XP it apears no drivers are installed & thus the no XP network driers loses my connection to the network for the answer files & software installs. not one installed Display, Audio, mass storage, sound.
Anyone have any ideas why the drivers are not installing..? im just rerunning the Autoimage again to try creating the RIS image again but i think the problem will persist.

Hi Bâshrat,
as the utmost said it needs to send the username & password to the proxy for it to authenticate & let you through. IE uses the logged in credentials to authenticate. using the Proxy settings from IE just gives you your proxy information but not the credentials to pass through.

regards

mark.

defernatley dosent work with ISA 2000. ive been told the later ISA version deal with request differently so it may not be a problem in the future. Basically although its using the IE settings it is not sending the username & password to complete the authentication to then pass through the proxy.

regards

cHINERS_68

Can you possibly add proxy authentication to this bit as it will not go & check for updates through an authenticating proxy. I currently go through ISA2000 soon to be ISA 2006.

cheers

muiz3,
its not the chipset issue. im using the older pack. i have posts on that thread.

proble is solved now although im now getting this ati.dll window apear during the Bâshrat the Sneaky finisher..
