That microsoft update is for all Powernow! AMD processor, but the away driver that Bashrat has released some months ago, maybe is bugged because the AMD processor isn't recognized well. I think that driver isn't very useful, because with AMD drivers works well.

Updated driver

The latest driver for Jmicron JM36x RAID controller. Maybe this driver can solve all the bsod 0x07b about this controller.

http://www.station-drivers.com/telechar … .08.01.exe

Can you update this driver?

jtdoom wrote:

hi
I had to leave for work, but just before I did, I looked at the drivers at the asrock site

i put the string posted in the hwid above into search
and this is indeed found in jahci.inf
VEN_197B&DEV_2360
the other F6 driver floppy has ALI

in driverpacks mass storage, this string is found in raid and jahci infs (and nowhere else)

thus, what S3pHiroTh posts makes sense to me.

I have done that me too... I have downloaded the driver from Asrock website (for found where is the problem in driverpacks for bsod) and the only difference between driverpacks and driver downloaded from asrock website, is what I have said before

I have told before, the Jmicron controller has a bug in driverpacks that isn't correct yet. the txtsetup.sif is the cause of the Bsod!!

PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2360="jraid"
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2361="jraid"
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2363="jraid"
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2365="jraid"
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2366="jraid"

This is the piece of txtsetup.sif, as you can see it load always RAID driver!!

change the "jraid" option with "jahci" option for your controller hwid.

I have Asrock 939Dual-Sata2 too and I have solved this by changing the first line

PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2360="jraid"

to

PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2360="jahci"

Bye.

Your system is in raid mode? Because for your hardware, the setup always load a raid driver (is in txtsetup.sif)

It isn't the same my card is AD1986A the other is AD1986, however I have slipstreamed them in my winxp cd installation and the sound card isn't installed. Maybe it hasn't have the hwids, I will list them this evening (if I will remember tongue)

Thanks a lot smile

Ok thanks anyway Bashrat. Only a question. How can I modify the finisher? Which files must be edited?

I have told to Orei the things that I have told to you in English... If you wish to understand what I have said this is tha translation:
I told to Orei that my graphic card install correctly (expect for directory issue reported in the first post), but I haven't any hardware acceleration (Direct3d, DirectDraw and AGP acceleration). If I try to install Omegadrivers 6.5, the acceleration works well and I haven't any problem, but if I slipstream these drivers, in my winxp installation cd, I have the same problem, I don't have any acceleration and I can't understand why. With omegadrivers 6.7 I have a BSOD, so for my card is better to use Omegadrivers 6.5.
That's all.

Sorry for the italian language :-P

Asus M2NPV-VM

Can you add this driver in driverpack?

Read this page, is for slipstreaming updates with a batch file smile

Copy and paste in a text file and name the file with .reg extension

Try maybe it works smile

Ah you must restart pc for deleting the folder smile

@sephirot..

Hi Bashrat, thanks for support smile

My laptop (Compaq nc610c) hasn't any option for enable or disable agp. The strange thing is that I will install Omegadrivers in xp, all works well. But if I slipstream Omegadrivers in winxp installation cd, I have the same problem, no Direct3d, Directdraw and agp acceleration. I don't know why... yikes

Hi, there is a small issue in this pack, I have installed them on my laptop that has a ATI Mobility Radeon 7500. I have slipstreamed drivers with the second method. When the Winxp GUI installation check hardware for driver installation, will show a popup who tell me that file ati2mtag.sys doesn't exist in this directory C:\D\G\A\6\.\B_34839. I check this directory, and doesn't exist. The file ati2mtag.sys is in this directory C:\D\G\A\6\B_32846.

There is another issue, but I can't understand if is a my fault or not. After the installation of winxp, if I type the command dxdiag in run command, and check for direct3d, directdraw and agp acceleration, they are all disabled and I can't enable them. I can't understand why it happens. sad

i repeat. If you doesn't use Jmicron controller, disable it in bios. Is the better solution.

If you don't use Jmicron controller, is better to disable it. Only one question, you have connected the samsung sata dvd onto jmicron controller or onto the intel controller?
In bios have you set the intel controller to non-raid mode?

Hi Davvan, you must found these lines in txtsetup.sif

PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2360="jraid"
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2361="jraid"
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2363="jraid"
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2365="jraid"
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2366="jraid"

Replace this line PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2363="jraid" with this PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2363="jahci"

Save and retry. Good luck smile

The JMicron issue only exists in text mode setup! And I understood you've installed onto the ICHR8? And THAT resulted in a 0x7B BSOD?

Please post your setupapi.log (can be found in %systemroot%) and don't forget to use code tags! (Only post the relevant parts, else upload the file, the forum won't accept such a large post.)

Davvan has wrote:

i get a BSOD after the files are copied and the GUI is about to start.

So I have thought that JMicron driver was the problem, because is the same experience that I have had.

PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2363&SUBSYS_2363197B&REV_02\4&32C446F5&0&00E5: JMicron JMB36X RAID Controller

This is wrong, driverpacks load the raid driver instead of the sata-link driver. I have posted this issue, but isn't fixed yet.
Maybe there are others driver issue that I don't know. smile

Hm, that is very strange.
I take it the driver installs properly (eg no error messages)?

How do you verify there is no D3D?
Did you run dxdiag tests?

I have run dxdiag and a direct3d screensaver, the screensaver will show a fantastic: "there isn't any direct3d adapter avaible" or something like this. Anyway, i will try to integrate the modded ati driver directly on cd. Maybe it works. I tell you later smile

EDIT: No it doesn't work. I will integrate the Omegadrivers in winxp installation disc. sad maybe because the driver doesn't support my graphic card.

I know it worked back when I installed on my laptop (don't ask me which DP version that was, I think it was around March) with a Mobility X700.

In any case, you can use the official drivers on virtually any Mobility card using this tool:

I have tried with the application that you have told me, but the problem does persists. sad
Can someone told me how to enable direct3d for my card?
