v13.1.2 out

That's what nightlies are for

newsposter wrote:

Isn't the current level 14.36?

It apparently was pulled by intel. Links directly to that driver page are now pointing to 14.34

Updated title to reflect general compatability with older gma's. Silly intel smile

You try these latest ones from last week? http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/dow … Down=false

If it replaces the drivers in I1, do you use a modified inf to support the other non-4 GPUs?

Updated to v14.34.4.4964

Last one to support the 3 series or previous I think...

Newer driver out only supports 4

Curses! Foiled again! wink

Good riddance. Hardware manufacturers have had their highs and lows, but nobody has been consistantly BAD as VIA. RIP, 4-in-1 driver garbage, I hope never to deal with ye again!

PROBLEM: I got ahead of myself and integrated into a test pack, but the stacsv (audio service) installs and then RESIDES from the DP extraction location during setup, so the "D" folder doesn't get deleted from the DP Finisher. Only using the intel setup routine does the stacsv get installed to Program Files to run as a service from there. What's the trick? The pathing in the INF?

Still scratching my head on this one...

v8.5.0.1032 WHQL now official and updated.

Updated! Link now goes to WHQL 13.1.1 drivers.

It says only for intel motherboards (wrong) and for 10/100 only (wrong again). What is up with intel's silly labeling of their own drivers?

Also, not many actual drivers are updated in this package from the last 13.0.1 release.

Need update to 8.3.1.1001 because with 8.2.3.1001 BSOD! On the 8.2.0.1001 works good!

8.3 is there on http://www.station-drivers.com/page/intel%20raid.htm

Ah, but is it available directly from intel.com yet?

Notice I didn't update my title wink

I will only make [req] updates when intel releases WHQL from their own website.

yeah it is menionned in the news but there is no download link.

It's there now wink

Also 8.3.1.1001 is on the raid/sata section:
http://www.station-drivers.com/page/intel%20raid.htm

v8.5.0.1032 just got leaked on that same unlinkable page big_smile

v.8.3.1.1001 WHQL about to surface too!

Tried to fix your second link but even manually putting the URL tags does not help.
Forum does not like brackets in links, I guess.

second link is not liked by punbb at all lol ... I used the quote box so we can at least cut and paste it big_smile

I think stationdrivers does this by design wink Sneaky bastards!

Interesting

Intel bundles WHQL builds of matrix storage with it's vista only turbo memory driver - HOWEVER - the IaStor portion are universal 32bit (and fully XP compatible) releases where the installer will update the matrix storage portion on XP without issue.

http://www.station-drivers.com/page/intel%20chipset.htm -> Turbo Memory Version 1.7.0.1022-8.5.0.1030

This includes a matrix storage driver v8.5.0.1030, extracted from your \WINDOWS\Temp directory in a folder called IIF2 once you run the installer.

Perhaps not something to put in an official driverpack, this is might be something to play with in nightlies.

EDIT: v8.5 is not digitally signed so no WHQL, sorry!

I can get a HD3450 for $35 here.

Sounds more than fair enough.
Dunno about the HD3400 series but the HD3800 (and subsequently the HD4800) definately kick ass and are very well worth their quite low price!

Well I wasn't going to buy it for performance. tongue
I'm desperate to test the HD-series ATI cards in a controlled environment just to ensure this is working.  This was just the cheapest option. smile

That's dedication, hat's off.

@Fragbert,

Sorry for my ignorance and your subtile way of making that clear tongue

Just a humble explanation of how my insane 'opinion' disturbed my mind:

Following your link I read: "Installs the Intel® Matrix Storage Technology (RAID) driver version 8.2.3.1001 for Intel® Desktop Boards." and "valid for the products listed below".

From Intel Download Center > Chipsets > Chipset Software > Intel® Matrix Storage Manager > Windows* XP Professional I'm getting to the place I provided a link to; ver.# 8.2.0.1001.

I'm still trying to figure out how I could have overlooked the consideration of Intel messing up their site hmm

Basic investigation of the actual drivers will lead anyone to conclude there is no unique hwid's pertaining to a particular board. This is not the first nor the last incident where intel releases chipset/iastor drivers that list their branded boards in a compatability list.

Per the readme.txt, you will see the hardware requirements are particular southbridges, not boards.

Updated! v8.2.3.1001

IMHO this driver is for Intel boards only. For other board it still is 8.2.0.1001: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/filter_ … ;submit=Go!

I'm reluctant integrating an Intel board driver on my non-Intel (p.e. Gigabyte) board, even if it's newer.

Will the update driverpack contain both versions or just the newest for Intel boards?

I'm sorry, unless you provide some concrete proof that this GENERIC iastor driver is "for intel boards only" (this is not an opinion), I am calling this statement as complete nonsense. Furthermore I'm reporting your post to be removed as it helps nobody.

This is a intel southbridge driver, nothing more.
