Thanks a lot for the excellent technical support. Installation was completed successfully. System works fine. All the drivers are (except Acer LCD monitor - G195HQV) installed on atom 230 processor based intel motherboard D945GCLF.

Get rid of all the Third Party DriverPacks (especially the monitor one) from your integration.  Use SAD2 for Third Party DriverPacks instead.

Thanks for the brilliant idea. In future I will do that way. That looks better than my way. I started burning the DVD before I see this comment. I have removed one more 3rd party driver and also I clear the driver packs cache. New driverpacks build detected the sata harddrive and started installaing. I will share the results, if it finishes successfully or not.

you might have hit the path limit bug... does it still do it if you kill one of the third party DriverPacks?

I removed one third party driver. But didn't solve the problem. I am still getting atiide.sys error message. Let me try to remove another third party driver and see what happens.

Let me share driverpacks.ini and the logfile

Splitlenz, welcome to driverpacks. Keep participating in forum especially if you encounter any problem.

Driverpacks.net seems to be the only way when the manufactures of the hardware are lazy enough not put the drivers which I have noted in Windows XP as well on server platforms while driver packs solution does work.

I am glad to hear your contribution to torrent sharing.

I used the latest driverpacks to install windows xp sp3 with nlite and driverpacks.net but got the following error message saying

The file atiide.sys could not be found
Press any key to continue

Installation quits from that point and I cannot continue further. I saw a similar post via http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=596 as solved. I had a build 2 years back that doesn't have the problem but this do have problem. Please note that this is from an old backup.

.

I have seen a strange issue with RealTek driver too with assembled machine using Mercury P4VM800M mother board. Unfortunately I couldn't download the drivers from the site due to server issue via http://www.mercury-pc.com/product-detai … uctid=643# but do have drivers on the harddisk. I have setup WindowsXPSP3 with latest drivers i.e  DriverPack Sound A 1003 and DriverPack Sound B 1003 it detected correctly installed perfectly. Then I wanted to setup Windows 2003 SP2 for testing purposes with the same sound drivers (well I changed the VGA drivers to the latest for Windows 2003SP2 but other than that everyting is same) on the same machine in a different partition  a window poped up saying about unsigned Realtek driver and I accidentally pressed a key on the key board (as it was late night) and the driver didn't get installed.

Issue occurred on Windows 2003 SP2

Before installing correct drivers HWID's is as follows
PCI\VEN_1106&DEV_3059&SUBSYS_AA511019&REV_60\3&267A616A&0&8D: Multimedia Audio Controller

After installing the WDM drivers and after enabling sound in the control pannel HWID's is as follows
PCI\VEN_1106&DEV_3059&SUBSYS_AA511019&REV_60\3&267A616A&0&8D: Realtek AC'97 Audio for VIA (R) Audio Controller

There seems to be an entry like C:\D\S\3ST\6\stac97.inf; Device: "SigmaTel C-Major Audio"; Driver: "SigmaTel C-Major Audio"; Provider: "SigmaTel"; Mfg: "SigmaTel"; Section name: "STAC97" I think that's the one. (I cannot post the log here says maximum size is exceeded). Is this answer your query? if not please let me know.

I tried to install Windows XP SP3 on IBM Thinkcenter 8175, It was earlier detected as SigmaTel C-Major Audio which didn't work (Exclamation mark in the device manager) but in fact SoundaMax driver which I have downloaded from http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. … MIGR-55647 Audio is working fine.  I shall be thankful if this could be sorted out.

Before installing the correct drivers HWID is given below

Would you like please to provide me a link to download the driver. try it before please to see if it works perfectly.

Dear Major,

Although the laptop screen says Presario C700 bottom of the laptop says as C736TU so I think that the correct model number.
I spend some time on searching since the official site but it doesn't list the audio driver i.e. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/soft … ct=3636367 for windows xp. A driver from MediaFire actually works via http://www.mediafire.com/?dg0cmmkm4y4

But need to add the device manually. Doesn't look like plug and play installation (I mean pointing to the extracted driver when try to update the driver) so not sure whether it could be implemented via driverpacks.

I found a working solution via http://forums13.itrc.hp.com/service/for … Id=1204575 the first post actually works. Need to install the drivers forefully then it works. Here is extract from the bottom of the first post actually worked (But the audio link refers to an incorrect ones for C736TU but at the bottom someone points to the correct driver via mediafire).

Conexant installer will give an error...force install the conexant sound drivers.

Device Manager>Audio device on HD

Right click, Update Driver

Say "no, not at this time" for connecting to Windows Update

Install from a list or specific location

Don't search I will choose the driver to install

In the list of common hardware types, scroll down and select Sound, Video, and Game controllers

Remove the check from "Show Compatible Hardware" and click on "Have Disk"

Next...browse to C:\Swsetup\sp38314

Choose the "inf" and Ignore XP when it complains.

After installing the audio drivers  and before installing Modem HWID is given below.

Dear Overflow,
Thanks for the quick reply and apologize the delayed response.

Yes the release candidate given at the front page works perfectly. I mean it detected the driver correctly and install the appropriate driver smile.

The one I reported is earlier stable build i.e. Sound A 8.05 and Sound B 8.05 along with all the drivers with stable builds.

Hi,
When I try to install windows XP SP3 with intergrated driverpacks with soundA 8.05 and SoundB 8.05 On Dell Optplex 160L machine.  Audio driver is SoundMax didn't get installed. Driver could be downloaded from http://support.dell.com/support/downloa … sent=False

After installing the driver

yeah simple CDN works better than the previous provider. Inbetween just one suggestion. Wouldn't it be better if we host the files in free sites like Microsoft skydrive? rather than on a paid site.

is your host OS UK english or US english?

I am using Windows XP SP 3 with US English. Any way English is second language for me. If there is a need to change that to British English I can change it.

so did the file get copied or not...
IE i dont know if the copy failed, or if the detection of the file after the copy failed.

It's look like the driverpacks files have been copied despite of the error message. But I have not yet checked by reinstalling the OS. Currently Windows XP SP3 is having Avira Antivirus, Comodo personal firewall and no other security software's are installed.

Hi,
I have all the latest driverpacks. When I tried to slipstream with nliten Windows XP SP3 I got the error message "Unable to add the DP_Install_Tool!" . Please have a look at the log file as well.

I had a done a check at my home (260km from my work place) and I found some back ups of the mass storage driver. I have uploaded in windows live skydrive via http://cid-afe0590778dade55.skydrive.li … assStorage any body can download it without hassle. Since quite unlikely that somebody will install Windows 2000 on a new system older driverpack for the mass storage would be sufficient enough I suppose.

I am sorry my post may not be relevant to the topic but if offers some alternative suggestions. I still suggest every one to look forward with new drivers when ever they are released. Lets all work together to solve the issues. Happy new year.

One of my computer with Kobian (mercury) PVM4 motherboard is also experienced similar issues. Which is also nearly 2 years old one. When I tried install windows xp integrated sp3 it didn't detect the Hard Disk initially. I used the mass storage pack released on Dec 2007. I managed to solve it by changing the BIOS setting. BIOS is AMI (American Megatrends, Inc) v 02.59 . There is a setting  under features setup says Onboard SATA-IDE with options Disabled, IDE and RAID. The default setting was IDE which didn't work but once I changed to RAID it installed and working fine.

Hectorfx, will you please let me know the BIOS you are having which didn't regognise the hard disk and see if you can change the BIOS setting and how well it works or not.

Thanks a lot jack. Let me try your suggestion at some point. Actually this is personal laptop and I mainly used as a test machine. I do have all the drivers and I actually l and see if it works fine before deploying elsewhere.

Here we go the hardware HWID soon after drive pack based installation.

I use all the updated driverpacks including DP_Sound_B_wnt5_x86-32_712.7z and DP_Sound_A_wnt5_x86-32_712.7z in a Compaq Presario V2000 laptop LAN & VGA detected correctly and works fine. Sound was detected as Realtec AC 97 audio (with an exclamation mark in the device manager) where it suppose to be conexant. Please have a look at http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/soft … mp;lang=en. I shall be thankful if this could be sorted out. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I tried the all December 2007 drivers with windows xp sp2 with xable November 2007 updates on an Acer Aspire Desktop. But I am unable to detect the SATA hard drive during the text mode of setup. While Mass storage pack released in July 2007 worked with Windows sever 2003 integrated SP2. Unfortunately I have deleted the old driver’s inorder to save my harddrive space now I don’t have a way to get old drivers. Possibly there could be another driver is conflicting with this driver or less likely windows update is causing problems. I shall be thankful if windows XP could load the SIS 180/181 driver during the text mode of windows xp. Thanks in advance.

Although driver packs WLAN December 2007 updates detected the presence of Broadcom 802.11b/g correctly but didn't get installed properly on Compaq Presario C700 laptop. I have downloaded the correct drivers via ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp34001-34500/sp34152.exe after going through  http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=193378. I shall be thankful if this could be sorted out. Thanks a lot for doing massive project.

motorola conflicts.

I have Comapaq V2000 laptop modem was detected as Mortorolla while it is a Conexant modem. Could you please have a look at http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/Te … 228#113165 for the conexant driver and fix this issue. Thanks in advance.
