Topic: [SLVD] DPSB907rc1 have a wrong driver

I tried to install Windows XP SP3 on IBM Thinkcenter 8175, It was earlier detected as SigmaTel C-Major Audio which didn't work (Exclamation mark in the device manager) but in fact SoundaMax driver which I have downloaded from http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. … MIGR-55647 Audio is working fine. I shall be thankful if this could be sorted out.

Do you know which folder was used to install the wrong drivers? The clue would be in your %windir%\setupapi.log
Just search for "VEN_8086&DEV_24C5" and you'll find the section. Can you post that section here?

There seems to be an entry like C:\D\S\3ST\6\stac97.inf; Device: "SigmaTel C-Major Audio"; Driver: "SigmaTel C-Major Audio"; Provider: "SigmaTel"; Mfg: "SigmaTel"; Section name: "STAC97" I think that's the one. (I cannot post the log here says maximum size is exceeded). Is this answer your query? if not please let me know.

Your problem has already been fixed in the latest nightly.
