This Promise TX4 T4302 is not working anymore.

HWID: Promise STAT300 TX4 PCI\VEN_105A&DEV_3D17&SUBSYS_3D17105A&REV_02\3&267A616A&0&58

The HWID is comig up as a TX4 but it is a T4302.

HWID in Device Manager in Vista:
PCI\VEN_105A&DEV_3D17&SUBSYS_3D17105A&REV_02
PCI\VEN_105A&DEV_3D17&SUBSYS_3D17105A
PCI\VEN_105A&DEV_3D17&CC_018000
PCI\VEN_105A&DEV_3D17&CC_0180

You had it working in previous DriverPacks but I'm using:
DP_MassStorage_wnt5_x86-32_805

Im creating a BartPE disk. When I boot from the CD or Thumbdrive The Promise card has no driver.

Thanks
Mark

ORGINAL TITLE: Blank dp dir after slipstream

ANSWER: 3rd party DriverPack's are not supported for the BartPE platform

My 3rdparty dp dir has only the 3rd_party.inf file after I slipstream.
Here is my setup:
Base 809RC1
Other packs used:
DP_LAN_wnt5_x86-32_8053.7z
DP_MassStorage_wnt5_x86-32_805.7z
DP_WLAN_wnt5_x86-32_806.7z

My zipped file:
DP_MTS_wnt5_x86-32_08.11.27.7z

Here is my 3rdparty zip

I look in the regular directories and they have the nt5 directory. Am I missing something?
I'm using this for a BartPE CD and I cant get these 2 drivers to work.

WLAN driver worked great on the Latitude!

Thanks.
Mark

I use Reatogo to make my bartPE CDs and I have been using DP_massStorage, DP_Lan, DP_Wlan for years.

This time I used:
Base 8.09.RC1
DP_Chipset_wnt5_x86-32_803
DP_CPU_wnt5_x86-32_804
DP_LAN_wnt5_x86-32_8053
DP_MassStorage_wnt5_x86-32_805
DP_WLAN_wnt5_x86-32_806

I have no USB Mouse or keyboard. I used it on a KVM, in VMWare, & burned to a CD on a Dell Laptop (The touchpad worked but not an external USB mouse), also on a Dell GX280. All the same thing. I removed the CPU and Chipset packs and I have normal USB KB/Mouse functionality.

If need be I can boot off both and with the Chipset and without and post the Device Mangler screenshots.

Thanks

First of all your drivers are first rate!! and I have been using them for years.  I make stand alone driver CDs using PRO_S_Hardware and your driverpacks. Althought you seem to have made your own standalone pack.

Would it be possible to put an update or download button on the UpdateChecker page?
I see this was discussed in 2006 but there was no resolution.

It is a pain to run DP Base and see what packs are outdated then go to the site and download each pack.  Having to open 3-4 pages each pack.

From the 2006 post the "Donate" button seems why people are sent to the site to download packs.  You could put in a donate window while the packs are being updated.

Thanks Again for a great job and a great product!!

Title updated

It is working.
I made the disk with MassStorage, Chipset, & Dell's Intel INF drivers.  The disk booted properly and I was able to see the internal and external HDDs at the same time.

I also booted with the older CD that had MassStorage only and both drives were able to be seen.  It must have been fluke the last time where the drives were not seen.

Thanks again

Let me elaborate a little:
The laptop is a replacement work laptop. It has an internal 75 gig SATA drive and I need to get my information from the 500 Gig external (backup files and apps from my old laptop (Dell D600)).

I need to be able to see both drives at the same time.
The 500Gb external is not a replacement is is just a backup drive.

Also I want to Ghost the laptop before I install all my old Apps incase the thing blows up and it won't boot.

My intent is to boot from the BartPE (Reatogo) disk and see the 2 drives than I have Ghose32 Corp Ver11 on my BartPE disk and I can Ghost the drive up and also copy down my files.

In the meantime: I unzipped DP_Chipset_wnt5_x86-32_803.7z and placed it in the drivers directory for Reatogo.  I downloaded the latest Intel INF file and unzipped it and also put it in the drivers directory.

I'm burning that CD right now.

Thanks
Mark

I have a Reatogo(Bartpe) CD I made. here is the setup
I used XP Corp SP2 ISO straight from Microsoft, no patches or updates.
Reatogo 240
Dp Base 80417RC, with DP_MassStorage_wnt5_x86-32_804.7z txt plugin
DP_LAN_wnt5_x86-32_804.7z unzipped in the Drivers directory. (I fixed all the file not found errors)

On boot up I was getting BSOD with F4 error, I flashed the bios and made a few CMOS cnhanges now it boots.

My problem is I have a Seagate FreeAgent PRO External 500Gig HDD USB that I can't see.  I looked in disk manager it is not there. I looked in Device Manager and there is lot of unknown devices.
I clicked on each of them and I could install a generic device driver for most of them.  It found generic chipset and USB drivers.  I went back to the disk manager and now my internal (C:) drive is missing.

The laptop uses Intel GM965 Express Chipset.  Does DP have a driver for this chipset? I looked at the chipset web page and it said that driver was for Intel 810 and newer.

Would that work?
Can the Chipset Driverpack be used in a Bart PE environment?
Just courious, when will the rest of the driverpacks be able to be slipstreamed like the massStorage pack?

Thanks
Mark

It works!!!!

And it seems to have faster throughput.

Thank You

I
Should have put in the reply

I deleted the old Driverpack.net plugin and started from scratch

Thanks again

I'm trying the test DP and getting this error:

Critical Error
Failed to CAB compress C:\Driverpack\tmp\DPMtemp\D\M\PB\sata4302.sys to
C:\REATOGO-240\plugin\DriverPacks.net\MassStorage\wnt5\SATA4302.sy_

Thasks for your assistance, hopefully we can get this working..
Mark

I’m having the same problem.

I just bought A Seagate Free Agent Pro 500 and a Promise SATA300 TX4302 PCI card.  On Tuesday I have to backup a 136 Gig raid 5 array to swap out the drives for bigger drives.

I downloaded the latest:
PEBuilder 3110a
Reatogo 240
Base 7052
MassStorage 711

I have made hundreds of PE CDs in the past.

I ran DP Base
Selected Bart PE
Pointed the directory to the path
Made sure text drivers was checked
I had it slipstream using DP base
I ran Reatogo 240 and checked the Config and 2 entries and there for Driverpacks.net:
Driverpack Base
Driverpack MassStorage

I thought it was because I use Reatogo 240.  I created a new PeBuilder directory using PeBuilder 3110A
I used all new downloaded files

Same thing

I then I downloaded the driver from Promise and I ran it with the MassStorage plugin.  It still would not see the controller.

I need got this fixed by Tuesday night, I don’t want to use USB2.0 to ghost 136Gigs of data up and down.

I’m gonna keep working on it.

Thanks
