windows will not interpret them as hex it will see them in decimal wink

0x means it is the hexidecimal equiv. of its decimal value big_smile

Don't over think this... just try it and see for yourself tongue

LSI Logic MegaRAID drivers are included in DriverPack MassStorage

a win XP or 2K3 OS slipstreamed with DriverPacks should support that...

NP... Just confirming what i was looking at wink

can you disable SCSI and opt for IDE only ?

The LSI drivers have been updated... an older or newer pack may work.

There is not much point in emulating SCSI...

Those are the HWIDS of your VM not an actual machine, I assume since you said it was failing in a VM?

You enabled SCSI emulation in your VM???
( If you did enable SCSI emulator in the VM then don't do that wink - Why do that?...)

did you remove any drivers with nLite or other?

did you  use autoimage to create your ris source?

That driver should work... and we have a similar driver in the pack.

use DriverPacks on your windows source and test it..

@Jse
Good answer... and the one I might have given myself.
- we don't want to add size to the DriverPacks without good reason.

The WlanMon can / would make an excellent 3rd party DriverPack though... big_smile

WlanMon is an applications with it's own setup procedure that is more or less independent from the driver itself.

The point I fell short of making was: (LOL)
This is a perfect example of what the finisher and pack.ini combo is designed for wink tongue

@z0ne_tripper

You may create your own 3rd party DriverPack if you like.
There is help in the 'docs' folder of your DriverPacks folder,
and more help stickied in the 3rd party DriverPack Forum here,

If you need help with your WLAN_Addon_Software_Pack, wink Please just ask!

Welcome to DriverPacks

and to quote our good friend Jaak

"Help us to help you!"

Please report back.
Always include good details
(Like BASE and DriverPacks versions used)

Have a great day

should work just fine ...

DriverPacks DPs_BASE.log please?
HWID's tool... link is below
- but a VM will normally use standard drivers

remember code tags please

I think this is one of those scenarios i mentioned to you Jse

where the Setup.exe must be run to install a custom control panel.

this is acomplished with the packs INI file...
calling setup.exe by useing a trigger
like a HWID, or a particular file that is installed if the hardware exists
look at the Graphics Packs for examples
you can ask me questions in the team forum if you have any wink

use the DriverPacks mass storage pack as described in the tutorial. Link in my signature below.
Use DriverPacks BASE, select mass storage text mode, slipstream...
Have you tried this?

Please also read "Read BEFORE you post"
By including the details outlined in that post
you will be able to provide the basic / minimum info we need to properly support you

IE where is your DPs_BASE.log?

If i understand correctly...

You need the "F6" floppy drivers...
We don't have and don't use any F6 drivers (txtsetup.oem)
you need to get F6 floppy drivers from the OEM (Nvidia or your manufacturer) and create your floppy

However, if you are useing the DriverPacks to slipstream your drivers into an OS installation Disc that should work...

you need to start over with a clean source and re-add DriverPacks...

for some reason your ISO is corrupted.

Am i to understand that
an unmodified OEM XP SP3
with only DriverPacks added

does not work in VPC, or from a CD on a real machine?

edited your first post, and added your DPs_BASE.log (from your link) for you...
- goofball

can you post your DPs_BASE.log

did you modify winnt.sif after DriverPacks was run?

Best of Luck! Let us know how it turns out...

Have an awesome day

3. I read at http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=3690 about both Promise fastsx.sys and Ibm nfrd960.sys: could that issue being in same way related to mine?

Thank you

Refers to Windows mode...
In UBCD4Win we are in textmode...
so the two things are not directly related
Additionaly a service that is not running will certainly not cause any issues wink...
Just because a registry entry exists does not mean it is used/loaded.

@cdob
Good catch on the PNP interface!
- I think that is a win...

Can you please post your HWID's?

did you modify winnt.sif?

are you trying to do an upgrade, repair, RIS or other method that utilizes winnt32.exe?

If he doesn't answer the questions or read the links in our posts and signatures then we will close this.

Starting two new threads that also have no details doesn't help anyone...

Bad newbie. Duplicate posts deleted!

- One demerit has been awarded. tongue

HWID?

http://driverpacks.net/DriverPacks/overview.php

Well you failed to select mass storage text mode...

From your DPs_BASE.log
DP_MassStorage_textmode = "no"

How Do you expect to find your HDD if you don't add the drivers??? wink tongue

there is a link to the tutorial in my signature below... (RTFM)

Thanks for providing excellent details - I always like that! smile big_smile smile
