Hi koringo, welcome to DriverPacks

I reckon the dead link was a link to a file that was on rapidshare.
These files are for testing, and can be pulled anytime.

The one who posted the link can let people know the file was pulled, which is good practice.

Hi butthead_blg

kyr did not post HWIDs, and neither did you, and I guess we are supposed to assume that this is an iastor conflict?
BUT, this is not what I assume.

Can you please at least post the txt of INF file of the driver that you use on the floppy to succesfully install?
OR, can you post HWIDs from the machine this install failed on?
(Bâshrat the Sneaky and smartepants have a link to the tool in their signature)

my concern is that one sometimes finds newer versions than one finds at official sites, and so far, I stuck to official ones.

Hi Ton80

if install worked with the older LAN pack, and the newer update adds HWIDs you cannot test, then it just a matter of time before someone with unsupported HWID makes a request to use the newer one.

there are times that an update drops support for some but not all older HWIDS supported in its pre-decessor.
Suppose we updated it and your kit no longer installs.
OK.. I know, we look at the list of supported devices, and sometimes have to add an udate AND keed the predecessor IN.

This still requires that somebody whom says he has the hardware has to test it.
This can be done with a spare hard disk, just like most testers here do.

true all, too true.

Chaz?
I have often wondered about telecharger.

for example, I look at newest intel, and at telecharger, and TC has newer?
I looked at other requests made by you, and have (so far) done a few with official site downolads.

telecharger can be legit, but I just want to know how much faith you want other members put into telecharger.

Hi
That is good, this way it can be tested by requestee and "google hits"

'I' will let you know when we have a test pack.

'I' -can be- team member whom took task.

muiz3?

I am out of the loop for a week. busy

you say, in the asus, PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2363&SUBSYS_81E41043&REV_02\4&18CD42CE&0&00E4
this one is not listed in our pack.

do you have a link to asus supplied driver for YOUR model motherboard?
you can also email driver you have on your CD to gmail adress (link under my name)

http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=960

the jahci lists two generics, and a series of more specified ones
the raid only has specified ones, and they are different

I think we are staring at a solution here (test without the two generic entres in jahci)
;PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2360="jahci"
;PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2363="jahci"

I just scrolled down in your list,
Which one did you actually still use?

hi
I thought they were included in test pack, but the REQUEST you made is indeed for drivers we do not yet have in a pack.

sorry, yours are different, and not yet included in test pack.

I hope Muiz can do these.

oops
posted about Jmicron in wrong topic

at the moment, a test version has the proliant scsi, but it skips them for xp and wk2.
this has this section in INI

[C]
ms_count             = 1
ms_1_deviceName        = "Compaq server HP ProLiant 32-Bit SCSI Controllers"
ms_1_tag            = "CPQ32FS2"
ms_1_sysFile        = "CPQ32FS2.SYS"
ms_1_hwids = "PCI\VEN_1000&DEV_0003,PCI\VEN_1000&DEV_000f,PCI\VEN_1000&DEV_000b,PCI\VEN_1000&DEV_000c,PCI\VEN_1000&DEV_0001,PCI\VEN_1000&DEV_000a,PCI\VEN_1000&DEV_0012"
ms_1_isBusExtender    = false
ms_2_exc_skipIfOS    = "wxp,w2k"

if you comment out ms_2_exc_skipIfOS    = "wxp,w2k" then it works for XP and win2k as well.
then repack, and you can use this
or make it ms_2_exc_skipIfOS    = "w2k" if you do not use windows 2000.

------
jahci lists only two generic hwids and specific Hwids in raid or ahci are different..
hmmmmmmm. could that be our solution?

so, basically, it apparantly conflicts with the raid jmicron, which, in this test-pack, gets loaded before jahci..

the problem is, these are modes the chip can use.
Not a great many use AHCI mode, I guess, but that is only a guess. (it is not because the choice in BIOS defaults to some mode, that the other mode is NOT used.)

I do know Jmicron has been a thorn in our sides for a while now.

Hi,
if you found the test version 70418, then you can re-enable this for XP in the INI, and repack.

cirederf, earlier today I went to Gigabyte fora, and found that people report issues with a production batch of these boards. I was not able to find the serial numbers affected.

I am NOT saying that Jmicron driver in this pack is perfect.
I downloaded gigabyte drivers today, and will look at these. (it is a slow site, huh?)

your complete string subsys/subversion is not found in the current test pack. (but subsys is..)

Hi guys, and welcome to both.

far as I know, QSC only caches the mass storage pack.
Stephan?  which Base version do you use?
Does installation with the slipstreamed source work?
Can you post LOGS?
finisher log is in windows folder in the machine you installed on
base log, is on the machine you used for slipstreaming.

did you use other tools AFTER base?
------------------------------------------

Blomen used a OLD version Base, and his post is from a while back.
may be he solved his problem by using newer version?

hi
What are the BIOS settings for onboard Sata?
(page 40 in manual)

Hi
I see you have a sound blaster Live card in there.

Do you actually ALSO want to use ac97?
???

it is not a problem in se..
VMware does not need 888111, so when setup runs from slipstreamed source, it is not installed in it.

Hi Debugger
fwiw, doing a go-between will probably not work.

I waited for specialists to answer, because I read
#I121 Device install of "PCI\VEN_1039&DEV_0330&SUBSYS_03301039&REV_01\4&1FEB96E4&0&0008" finished successfully.

in all honesty, I have no clue.

I forgot, Welcome to DriverPacks

if it becomes a request, please give us links to Dell's drivers.

Hi
I have questions
did you use the third party MODEM pack?
did you use sound B pack?

you could answer this easy, but would you also please post your Base log (log created when you slipstreamed this source)

If answers to both are YES, I figure this wil become a REQUEST, and if it becomes one, YOU will have to edit the topic title.
If you

Hi fragbert, did you re-download it?
(the fixed 18 did not get renamed to 70419, but the creation date is 19th..)

hmmm, this just again shows that it is better to rename to creation-date. (even if when one posts a minor fix, and knows only four or five people got that flawed version)
