You already reported this here: http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic. … 842#p42842
No need to double-post.
Third Party DriverPacks are a community driven effort.  Meaning the users (YOU) build and maintain these packs.
If you feel up to the challenge, why not update this Third Party DriverPack yourself and give back to the community? smile

Yes, that answers it.
A successful textmode (blue screen) setup allows you to see the drives and partitions attached to your controllers.
A successful desktop load means the installation progresses correctly with no errors and you see the drives and partitions attached to your controllers in "My Computer" once installation is complete.

If the embedded device is not enabled in the bios, it won't be "seen" by any utility.

The Dell cerc sata 2s is an Adaptec card.  Your hwids don't list any Adaptec hardware.  Are you sure you have that card installed?
If so, then un-zip the dpms, and edit the .ini file.
Change this:

; [D2]
; ms_count=1
; ms_1_deviceName="Dell/Adaptec CERC SATA 2S (W2K/W2K3)"
; ms_1_tag="aarich"
; ms_1_sysFile="aarich.sys"
; ms_1_hwids="PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_24DF,PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_25B0,PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2652&SUBSYS_01801028,PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2652&SUBSYS_01851028"
; ms_1_isBusExtender=false
; ms_1_exc_skipIfOS="wxp"
; ms_1_exc_disableIfOS="w2k"

Into this (remove all ';' and one line):

[D2]
ms_count=1
ms_1_deviceName="Dell/Adaptec CERC SATA 2S (W2K/W2K3)"
ms_1_tag="aarich"
ms_1_sysFile="aarich.sys"
ms_1_hwids="PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_24DF,PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_25B0,PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2652&SUBSYS_01801028,PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2652&SUBSYS_01851028"
ms_1_isBusExtender=false
ms_1_exc_disableIfOS="w2k"

Those drivers are only supported by 2003 server.  Dell doesn't provide any XP drivers.  So this MAY not work.

** For Base versions 9.x or newer the Log files are archived in the \LogFiles\ folder of BASE.
     This way you can find a Log for any previous slipstream or run of the program.
     (In case you accidentally overwrote the current log in the BASE folder)

IF RELEVANT, include in your post
- %SystemRoot%\DPsFnshr.log  (to help us determine DriverPacks Finisher specific errors)
- %SystemRoot%\setupapi.log  (to help us determine why a specific driver failed)

- HWID's (Hardware Identification numbers) are almost always helpful.

6. Tell us what you did - Could we try to reproduce your issue ourselves just based on your first post?

I delete nothing.  I only add the packs indicated above.

Here's what I do personally.
Boot.wim: Integrate ONLY dpms to index:2
Install.wim: Integrate DriverPack Chipset, dpms, DriverPack LAN
Run SAD during post-install to clean up the rest of the unknown devices.

Damn, I must have missed those when I built the package.
ReUploading with the current chipset packs...
Fixed!

OK, thanks for reporting.  I'll get it fixed.  The problem is a mismatch in version numbers.  That's the ONE Intel folder I didn't update. sad
Of course the one time I don't test in Vista...

Sorry Rick. sad

No, you cannot integrate SAD with nlite.  SAD is a Stand Alone Driver-disc.  It's meant to stand alone (to be run by itself).
Because it is a batch file (command script) it can be called at any time after windows is installed.

Here's a link for video tutorials for Win7.  It may help your quest for Vista.

@Agkree,  You are now banned for violating the rules.  You were already warned once.

If you don't want to see the messages, just remove the word "pause" from the batch file.
To run the batch file automatically (not recommended), just add it to the cmdlines.txt file for inclusion in the RunOnce phase.

It's wrong.
Can you post the name of the exact file that's causing the problem?
You can report the file to AVG as a false positive (upload the file to their server) and once they verify it, they'll remove it from their definition file.
I use Symantec and none of the files are flagged as suspect.

Then as long as you execute the batch file from within an administrator account, you'll be fine.  Don't worry.

For Vista & Win7, the tool will fail if you run the batch file as a normal user.  The warning is just to remind you to run as an administrator.
From the readme.txt

** Caution **
The below caution is for Vista/Win7 users only.
User Account Control will ask you to confirm each action the tool tries to complete.  Very annoying.
For best results, right-click the DP_Install_Tool.cmd file and select "Run as Administrator" from the menu.

There's a new Toshiba Bluetooth stack on Station-drivers.

Anyone have a decent link to a legitimate site for this update?  Has anyone tried it?

That's by design.  Only unattended installs are supported.  Adding DriverPacks will break any win32.exe install (repair, desktop upgrade, etc.).
If you want to maintain your existing repair/upgrade discs, just include the SAD utility to your disc.
Current SAD version is here: http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic. … 590#p41590
Supports all NT5 & NT6 Windows OS.

You mean apart from the above example?  I thought that was a pretty good one! wink
h*ll, any of the (un)Creative folders will suffice as an example (of poor driver engineering).
