hi,
I got it in email.
My hint to use Joshua's Nvidia plugin for LAN worked for others.

Anyway, What EchoPlatoon did was this.
1.  I extracted the LAN DriverPack to a folder name DP_LAN_wnt5_x86-32_71211 (the name will change depending on which DriverPack version you use).
2.  Go into DP_LAN_wnt5_x86-32_71211\D\L, do a Select All, choose either cut or copy, and paste it into the LAN drivers folder for BartPE, which in my case was C:\pebuilder3110a\drivers\Net.
3.  I had to run pebuilder to find out what errors I got regarding the LAN DriverPack and the errors were about missing files that pebuilder thinks should be there.  The files are the following:

C:\pebuilder3110a\Drivers\Net\NV\MCP61\bdco1ins.dll
C:\pebuilder3110a\Drivers\Net\NV\MCP61\NVENETFD.sys
C:\pebuilder3110a\Drivers\Net\NV\5_0450\bdco1ins.dll
C:\pebuilder3110a\Drivers\Net\NV\5_0450\NVENETFD.sys
C:\pebuilder3110a\Drivers\Net\NV\45_rest\bdco1ins.dll
C:\pebuilder3110a\Drivers\Net\NV\45_rest\NVENETFD.sys
C:\pebuilder3110a\Drivers\Net\NV\45_0373\bdco1ins.dll
C:\pebuilder3110a\Drivers\Net\NV\45_0373\NVENETFD.sys
C:\pebuilder3110a\Drivers\Net\NV\45_0269\bdco1ins.dll
C:\pebuilder3110a\Drivers\Net\NV\45_0269\NVENETFD.sys
C:\pebuilder3110a\Drivers\Net\NV\3\bdco1ins.dll
C:\pebuilder3110a\Drivers\Net\NV\3\NVENETFD.sys
C:\pebuilder3110a\Drivers\Net\NV\12\NVENETFD.sys

4.  To resolve this, I did the following for each of the folders:
     a.  Selected bdco1.dll and nvefdxp.sys, copied, and pasted them onto my desktop.
     b.  Renamed bdco1.dll to bdco1ins.dll (except for C:\pebuilder3110a\Drivers\Net\NV\12 folder).
     c.  Renamed nvefdxp.sys to NVENETFD.sys
     d.  Select bdco1ins.dll and NVENETFD.sys and drag them back into the folder from where I originally copied from.

5.  I ran pebuilder again to find out if I got any other errors and had 6 more errors about missing files that pebuilder thinks should be there.  The files are the following:

C:\pebuilder3110a\Drivers\Net\NV\MCP61\fdco1ins.dll
C:\pebuilder3110a\Drivers\Net\NV\5_0450\fdco1ins.dll
C:\pebuilder3110a\Drivers\Net\NV\45_rest\fdco1ins.dll
C:\pebuilder3110a\Drivers\Net\NV\45_0373\fdco1ins.dll
C:\pebuilder3110a\Drivers\Net\NV\45_0269\fdco1ins.dll
C:\pebuilder3110a\Drivers\Net\NV\3\fdco1ins.dll

6.  To resolve this, I did the following for each of the folders.
     a.  Select fdco1.dll, copied, and pasted it onto my desktop.
     b.  Renamed fdco1.dll to fdco1ins.dll
     c.  Selected fdco1ins.dll and drag it back into the folder from where I originally copied from.

7.  I ran pebuilder one last time and got no errors.

8.  I burned the BartPE ISO to CD, tested it out, and it worked.

That's it.  That was my whole process.  To save some time, skip step 5 and do both steps 4 and 5 at the same time.

If you want to know anything further, feel free to ask me.

resolved,
it was in the release

Hi
I found the download for making the floppy today.
I will be looking at a few other things, and expect to have an update by tomorrow.

hi
I know this interests OverFlow a great deal because he wants to get LAN supported in the DpsBase PE plugin build tool.
We have talked about this, and Joshua's plugin for Nvidia LAN could replace the drivers in LAN in a foreseeable future.
But, I am interested to hear how you did it.

Welcome to DriverPacks.

I can try figure out why this is happening, but you can help us just as well.
Please provide the link to the driver(s) that work so we can look at them.

I was actually looking at the files today, and think I found what causes some errors.
(I found a few "secondary" system files with same filename across drivers, and am in the process of writing fixes. My reasoning here is that we make The "primary" systemfiles load with unique names (because we must), so why not make the "secondary" files have unique names as well. )

I think you will be able to test a driverpack soon.
Please provide links, and help us help you.

Jeff? Or Wim? Get coding.

OverFlow once estimated we could trim over 2000 characters out of the path.
We were close to 7000 for all main packs.

Yesterday, I Xperimented a path.
Sad story.. I was down to 4200 in the path, and a raging storm blew my file away.
I got a brownout, and lost work.
(or a spike? who cares.. it was lost.)
I need a good UPs.
I also direly need araxis paid licence to keep helping you..

TM is for TM, and PnP need not be included (in a way)

The Mass storage Pack has some PnP drivers and M1 puts a reference to them in $.
TM uses basic IO.
PnP choices are made when enhanced features are already in place.

for Nvidia
Tm
5
6
those are currently used for TM

I dont' use sysprep either, and would welcome JakeLD, or eXort, or any other prepper to help you help us.
I am intrigued.
I need to learn more in order to write sections in our tute.

Hi
I wonder which boot image you use.
I seldom use Nlite to make an ISO, because I use Nero, and use the original Microsoft boot image file (what I extract with isobuster).

(in other words, I'd like to know the differences by heart, but I don't.)
You use method 1.. I will test that one day. (I can make Repair setup capable CD doing Method 2)

In Method 2, delete SetupOld.* after setup, and you can run repair, or in place upgrade repair.
Leave NTupg folder intact, and search forum about fake setup error.

is Universal extractor getting better at doing the 'cabs"?

Got it.
it's a curious one.
No new HWIDs. I wonder what it fixes.

Hi,
While I was shortening paths in Wlan, I noticed several folders with missing CAT files.
I cannot fix if I don't find the original download.
When Bâshrat the Sneaky took the project, he inhereted a LOT of files from way back.

@ TigerC
I asked for code which would add the driver ignore policy line into winnt.sif.
I hope we can test a beta for DpsBase soon.

done, this time it did not corrupt.

it corrupted during upload?
I am re-uploading it.

Dear Gentlebeings,
Jeff mentioned the folder structures are changing to get Method 1 more viable.
When we compared the old Mass storage driverPack with the new one, we found that we had added 14 drivers, and despite that we have been able to shorten Path length with approximately 200 characters.
The additions were (older) driver versions we needed so as to support several Silicon Image Mass storage chip BIOS versions.

Today, Sound A, Sound B, and Graphics B have had folder structure changed as well.
The new structures will take getting used to, I guess.
It was something we wanted to do long ago, and now we are at it..

Jeff also mentioned we trimmed HWIDs from several INF files in the Sound DriverPacks.
Approximately 2050 duplicated HWIDs were found across Sound A and B.
The testers were patient, and we got some new people in the team.
They earned their place, let me tell you that.
It would not be possible without you.
Thank you for helping us help you.

Thank you for the report.

I had no time to run a basic test, and I had forgotten to rename the ulsata2.sys to sata4302.sys in \PB.
Sorry.

new testfile

Hi, welcome to DriverPacks
you find an updated version in this topic.
http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=2159

Oh, Mass 711 should have adressed the HP378 issue already.

The 712 testfile  added an adaptec aar88xx , added the Promise tx4302, and an update for adaptec 320 scsci.

Hi
here is a testfile
it has one of the two.
The second one will have us make a lot of choices, because it contains several HWIDs I also find in drivers by other manufactors. (and I don't have the time tonight.)

see you tomorrow.
meanwhile, please test it.

Hi,
the HWID for that other model in P7 was pruned, and TX 4302 was then added.

DP_MassStorage_wnt5_x86-32_712_test.7z is ready for upload

Hi, sorry for late reply.

ICH7 is supported. The device list is not based on a database.
We have to type all entries in.

Hi, I did not get to this.
Sorry.
It will be in 712.

Hi,
because it caused conflicts (with no apparent reason.) there was a driver disabled very long ago, and I had made it into a SFXminiPack.
This SFXminiPack is no longer in the release.

You were not mistaken. After finding this, you could have looked in the Mass storage INI.
(there was a comment for this driver.)
The supported device list will be looked at.

well, where are the updated drivers?
This morning, ...promise.com/support/ ... was a mess.

hmm, just got the file.
We have the HWID for this one in \P7, but it is another model.
The 4302 driver has only one HWID, and systemfiles are different.
In other words, we will probably have to kill support for that other model if we add the new one..

I will upload a pack shortly, so he can use it.
