I'm afraid I don't understand what you are exactly talking about. Would it be possible to post a screenshot?

HUH? Still no changes in the log? Are you sure you slipstreamed the DriverPacks AGAIN into the same source???
@Helmi: the Finisher works just fine in the latest rc, so why would we need to enable debug mode? If problems occur, only then I ask to enable debug mode.

Overwrite the file bin\DpsFnshr.7z with this one, enable debug mode as described earlier and then post the DPsFnshr.log here. Thanks!

Re: [SOLVED] Is the hardware in my pc supported by the DriverPacks? (2 replies, posted in Feedback and Support - DriverPacks Base)
No requirements. All your hardware is supported. Note that devices such as webcams, mice, modems, etc. are NOT supported by the official DriverPacks (yet). You can use the 3pdps for that though.
Good luck!

Re: [SOLVED BUG #266] [Finisher] Critical error: "Could not delete element (78 replies, posted in Feedback and Support - DriverPacks Base)
@RogueSpear: that's the correct value. Note that the KTD entry in the DPs_BASE.ini is optimized for the end-user and the one in the DPsFnshr.ini is optimized for the program, or better: for the program's logic. Internally in the finisher, it's always either paths or pattern mode.
@felipegeek, melombar & [dk]: I'm preparing a custom DPsFnshr.exe in which I've added more debug logging. I did not realize there was no debugging yet for the first part of the Finisher, which is why you did not see any difference when you enabled the Finisher.
I'll upload it within an hour.

Could you please post your HWIDs? If you could post the DPsFnshr.log, then that's fine too, since the HWIDs are logged into that file too.

What if your proxy asks you for username and password to access the Internet?
I will assume that the proxy settings in IE are the correct ones. So I'll just import the proxy settings of IE and then everything should work fine!

Hi Bashrat, I have downloaded the driverpacks Graphics A, and i have changed the CCC and recompressed it as you has said in your tutorial, but the size is much greater than yours.
Your Driverpacks A: 67.560 KB
My Driverpacks A: 100.359 KB
What do you suggest me to change. The 7-zip i use is 4.42.
What compression level did you use?

Re: [NOT APPROVED] Splash screen with counter (5 replies, posted in Feature Requests)
It's not for installing the DriverPacks. The DriverPacks are already slipstreamed and the included drivers will therefore already be installed. The DriverPacks Finisher only exists to finish the installation: apply the necessary changes if the requirements for exceptions are forfilled.
This implies that what you're asking is simply irrelevant. I'm sorry.
I'm still waiting for the web software for the online manual - which would have prevented the creation of this topic.

hi
there is no sense in making coasters. Can you not use DVDRW or CDRW instead?
I see you remove removable devices. I have not done that yet, but my guess is that this causes this issue you have.
That might be the cause indeed. Try enabling that again, ebin25.
To rule out that it's not nLite but that it IS the DriverPack Sound B, please do a test with an unaltered Windows XP: slipstream ONLY the DriverPacks and do a test installation with it and then post the results.

rictendo64, you can also just skip the posting at the forum: if you just submit it to the bugtracker it's fine too. Unless some user has posted a bug in the translation of course, then it'd be nice to inform him/her of the progress.
Just to let you know

Re: [INACTIVE] Found New hardware wizard (9 replies, posted in Feedback and Support - DriverPacks Base)
You may want to slipstream KB883667 to fix that issue! I used to do this automatically, but it was not doable to support ALL languages, so I removed it.
You could also just slipstream RyanVM's UpdatePacks if you're using an English Windows XP.
EDIT: I had not noticed you said "CD-ROM drive". In that case: did you use nLite? Or did you manually strip your Windows XP down?

Re: Upgrade functionality of Setup refuses to work (18 replies, posted in Feedback and Support - DriverPacks Base)
That's just the fake setup.exe being renamed to oldsetup.exe and the real setup being copied from setupORG.exe to setup.exe then.

The renaming is done by the fake setup itself. And there's only 2 setups, not three.

Re: Upgrade functionality of Setup refuses to work (18 replies, posted in Feedback and Support - DriverPacks Base)
Well, then it should have worked with the fake setup I'm using too. It does the exact same thing: how would you expect that the real setup could continue otherwise?
But you got it working, and that's all what matters. I will not use that fake setup of Pyron though: it sometimes fails to work properly in case of certain XP SP2 installation discs.

Re: [SOLVED] Little splash screen while finishing DriverPack installation (3 replies, posted in Feedback and Support - DriverPacks Base)
As I said before, it's NOT a nag screen, it's just a small splash screen that only remains active for the duration of the DriverPacks Finisher. It shows the current action.
I know it's not beautiful... I wish I had your graphics skills Probably I'll make it a manual option in the next version to disable it - so those who feel so annoyed when they see it, can disable it. In the future, you'll be able to configure it from within the DriverPack Sound B, but not just yet.

Re: [NOT APPROVED] Driver.cab reduction and elimination (12 replies, posted in Feature Requests)
I've always opted to NOT modify the driver.cab file, because if you do so, you must also modify the txtsetup.sif, the dosnet.inf and the drvindex.inf files to reflect the changes. The DriverPacks have always been created with the intention to be used as an EXTENSION for the default driver library of Windows 2000/XP/Server 2003, not as a complete replacement.
You can however remove most of the drivers included in it using nLite, if you really want to go on with this.

Re: [SOLVED] BASE 6.08.6 + MassStorage 6.08 = fnsh_log.cmd NOT FOUND (19 replies, posted in Feedback and Support - DriverPacks Base)
It's not a nag screen. It's only there for the duration of the execution of the Finisher. For me for example, it only stays there for 5 seconds, until it's finished. That error should not occur though. You're the third one to report this error. Please continue the discussion for the solution to that problem in this topic.
BTW, I'm glad you found it... and that's about the coolest program GUI I've ever seen Nice picture too
