Maclean's magazine had an article about Microsoft in their May 6th printed periodical.
In this article they indicated that MS is quietly working on an official option adding the formerly familiar desktop, start button and all.

Here's hoping that is true.  With any luck they will call it "SP1 - Blue".

Despite seemingly selling hundreds of millions of licenses, W3C shows adoption to be less than 5% of the total market including smartphones.  This is less popular than Windows Vista.  This comes supposedly during a boom of sales of smartphones and tablet computers, that is mostly sans MS product.

adds WHQL cert for ATi remote wonder series & removes the pointless vista driver (other than for the HWID's, perhaps) for ATi CIR device as there exists a WHQL driver in DP_Graphics_C including key defs.  cool

I had a Dell TouchPad driver install on an HP zv5000-series laptop with an Alps TouchPad using SAD130421.
No error, no problem working with it.  Just thought you would want to know.

HWID:  ACPI\PNP0F13\4&102A0DBB&0

If only there was a way to "poll" the hardware.

Go ahead and disturb me.  It is nice to be reminded once in a while that i do indeed live.
It helps in my search for intelligent life, as there seems little intelligence remaining on this continent!
Bhopal was a wake-up call that many here seem to have long-ago forgotten.
I am also very saddened to learn about the plight of many farmers in India, what with all the suicides.
I pray that farmers in Bangladesh have kept their seed pure.

I would advise against the use of nLite prior to integrating the DriverPacks.
I have been told here in this forum, that it does indeed corrupt the "source".

I too do have problems with VGA & Sound on some systems.
Start a new topic for those specific problems, then we can discuss them.

That reboot is possibly due to overheating (CPU @ 100% usage).  Be careful.

Whoops, sorry.  I was wrong about OnePiece's updates.  They are OK.  I'm not getting that error in Setuperr.log anymore.

What is it that did work?  Was Setup run from disc or USB?

As for updating your Setup disc, it is possible to use DP_BASE for this, providing that nLite has not been used previously.

It is best to start with a clean, unmodified source.  Add Updates with RVMi (not nLite as it can corrupt your source).
Also, avoid the use of OnePiece's Updates; the current update pack has problem registering rundll32 (iirc).
Use DP_BASE to integrate the DriverPacks.  Use SAD3 to install drivers after Windows Setup finishes (WLAN, HID, Webcam).

I think that you are great for your patience and perseverance.
You will be credited in the changelog for your assistance.  Thank you again.

try modding the inf in this driver --> ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp60501-61000/sp60922.exe  hmm

     readme - ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp60501-61000/sp60922.html

It contains {DriverVer=09/28/2012, 5.100.82.143} for Vista-7 & {DriverVer=05/07/2012, 5.100.82.139} for XP.

Some connection issues with specifically BCM4313 are resolved, if you can get your hands on a generic v5.100.82.143 (or later if applicable) for Vista-7 (IIRC).

bcmwl5.inf {DriverVer=08/31/2011, 5.100.82.105} exists in DP_WLAN_wnt5_x86-32_1202\D\W\H\.
This causes the dreaded BSOD 0x7e on restart on at least XP installations.
Remove the driver in SafeMode and restart twice to confirm issue.

note:  see bottom of post for a slightly-newer utility with v5.100.82.94, a stable driver

That would seem like a natural update for the driver in DP_Sound_B_wnt5-x86_1111\D\S\Sg\ as they are both the same SoundMax package type.

";Copyright (c) Analog Devices, Inc. 2007
; LENOVO_DESKTOP
; SoundMAX package [M]"

However; the driver in ..\Sg\ is ... newer. ?  The .cat file is newer, too. ??   hmm
Looks like it has a bugfix for few models. ???

Does it not work or install for you properly?

I thought i was already using recommended settings.
Should i be rebuilding the packs as i go with that script?

I don't know if it helps, but here's an error i found testing v2.7 of SAD2.

Windows Script Host

Script:  C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop\SAD2-130408_v2.7\bin\tada.vbs
Line:   4
Char:   1
Error:   0x8004503A
Code:   8004503A
Source:   (null)

It was one where the installed driver from Realtek has the same PnPid as the Analog Devices chip that laptop has.
Long story short, audio doesn't work on it yet.  Mayhap that is the source of the error.

Anyway, I think you guys are great!  Take a bow.  cool  cool

When WinSetupFromUSB has succeeded for me on an AHCI or RAID controller, i only needed execute first setup, then second part of setup, without using D-PMS.iso.  I think that's meant for images without the packs already integrated.  I am going to leave further mods of that to Chennal.

Here are my latest nightlies.  There's an updated set of drivers for VMWARE (from the NT6 packs), some more Ricoh Cardreader drivers for Sonys, some legacy junk, and now some x10 support.
Also included is Intel's RST v11.0 for PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1E02 & 1E03 to hopefully, finally be able to use textmode with either HWID.  Also moved is PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2824 to v10.1 in [I9].

Try USB install & CD/DVD-disc install to be sure.

Chenall's_DPMS_1304211.7z

edit:  links removed - updated in latest [Nightlies]

I note that it would seem that Chenall's D-P-M-S solution is aimed at images that have not previously integrated DriverPacks.
One might dispense with the D-P-M-S option in the Advanced menu of WinSetupFromUSB if DriverPacks are already integrated.

If this doesn't work, there is only one other driver to try (v11.1).
Have you seen either HWID on any of those other machines you previously mentioned, Kamrul08?
