Was this added in DP MS 7.01 ? I added a new topic on this, sorry about the spamming :-).
R.
According to the changelog, not yet. Will be for the next version.
I have tried both ways with and without cardreader.
WITHOUT= Installs with no problems.
WITH= Same issue (as described in 1st post) I do agree with you that it is being caused by cardreader.I can't get my head around the fact that everything goes ok with previous builds. But as soon as I use Latest versions of Driverpacks & Base I now get this error.
Why would previous builds work ok with NO problems, but using current versions now show this error?
1) Different BIOS settings could have disabled the internal card reader.
2) There is no way I can imagine the installation worked without a problem in the past...
1) RIS is not natively supported yet, so I'll assume you're using AutoImage. If you had no errors, integration was succesful.
2) If it worked on 1 system, it'll work on all of them. You can verify driver installations by looking at your setupapi.log (which is located in the %systemroot% directory).
Hedgehogmsx wrote:No more error when I use RunOnceEx instead of GuiRunOnce !
I found this is because RunOnceEx not even added to winnt.sif file! DpsFnshr.exe is not executed in this case at all.
I think this is another bug.
Here is example of winnt.sif file after using RunOnceEx option:
;
; Generated by DriverPacks BASE 7.01.2
; http://www.driverpacks.net/
;[Data]
MsDosInitiated=No
[Unattended]
OemPreinstall=Yes
RunOnceEx must not "be added to the winnt.sif file"
I've reproduced it and am now working on it....
thank you guys, it apparently worked......
but how I make VMware emulate a sata or scsi hdd???
I quickly made a new FAQ about this.
They can:
- emulate generic hardware
They cannot:
- emulate your hardware, or any specific device (in particular: SATA controllers can NOT be emulated!)

the new drivers ATI are the same that SI3112r, why not to have put them?
The ATI SiI3112r driver support also other hwids not supported by the SiI3112r, that are only present on motherboards based on ATI chipsets.
I still have problems with SIL 3114 raid ...
Textmode drivers do not work since version 5.0.5.4 of the massstorage drivers, I have to use F6 to see my 4 HHD raid5 drive as 1 drive instead of 4 empty drives ...
So I gave up on integrating the massstorage driverpack ever since ...
Is your RAID BIOS up-to-date?
Thanks anyway.
I can only assume an entry is either wrong or missing within Packs/Base Pack.
Hopefully this will be fixed in next release.
Thanks for all your help
No, then you would have gotten a "file X is not found" kind of error.
Chances are very likely that the culprit really is your card reader, as muiz replied. Did you have it connected to your pc during previous installations? As far as I can tell, every single CD/DVD based installation (RIS installations don't suffer from this issue I believe) on a pc with a card reader has failed... Blame the Windows installer, not the DriverPacks.
EDIT:
Ok I didn't read your first post properly. It did succeed after all, and it was not Windows but the fake setup complaining. That sounds like a bad CD... either to scratched or burned too many times (rewritable?).
Did you extract DriverPack MassStorage? You should not.

Good news!
MEULC quickly responded to this issue and has confirmed that the KB888111 hotfix will be included again in the next UpdatePack!
For more about this, check this topic at RyanVM's forums.
How is that, muiz?
Protonus wrote:Ok, I'd like to update my ISO of my slipstreamed XP CD with the new driver packs, to test this. I have little to no idea on how to do so. Can someone link me to instructions or tell me what I need to know? My CD ISO has has the driverpacks in it already, but I did not make the distrib.
Always start with a fresh xp , dont use one with old drivers already in it.
Then download all the latest packs and base.
That's not necessary muiz The DriverPacks BASE is able to unslipstream previously slipstreamed DriverPacks.
MEULC doesnt use this hotfix Bashrat , but the base says : MEULC detected , no HD audio slipstreamed
That sux
And why again did MeulC remove that hotfix? He really SHOULD include it! You should complain there, not here.
I highly doubt the CP will support the 1950, since that card came out almost a year after the Cp has been updated last.
It may work (this is where you try a manual install just to verify), however, it will lack a lot of features, so this could make the CP absolutely redundant anyway (which means you might as well do without it).Ususally, the CCC isn't as bad anymore as it was when it was first introduced.
If you don't like the shiny polished look, you can still access all settings without a GUI from the taskbar icon (right-click it).
Very convenient and fast!
Give it a try maybe
I would also think that's the reason.
It must be the pmtimer.exe executable then, since that's only applied to AMD X2's. Could you please post your DPsFnshr.log (which resides in %SystemRoot%) to confirm this?
@BigBrit: I don't understand what you mean.
@woodzter: just use method 2 instead, it's much faster anyways. To find out how both methods work, check this topic: http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?pid=2084.
EDIT: closed now.
Did you add it to this one?
I don't see my search box glowing, sorry I don't know anything about making websites, I just learned to make FF search plugins and I discovered this little trick the other day
No haven't done that yet, when I replied I was on my way to my bed
Heeeeey that's nice!!!
Do you happen to have more interesting website ideas? If you do, mail me! (I'm working on the next website, with everything integrated nicely )
ruudboek wrote:Protonus wrote:I would love to test this! Can you shoot me a link for the files I need, and tell me how to update the XP distrib I have with it? I have a 3112r as noted.
@protonus,
The sil problems should be fixed now with the new publicly available driverpack base + driverpack masstorage.
Could you please test and post your results in this topic?DiverPackBase (7.01.2) + MassStorage (701) + Asus A7N8X deluxe 2 + silicone image 3112r = BSOD !!!!
Test realized today : BSOD again and again and again ......... ! Is there any solution ? Is there someone on earth able to fix it ?
You may have to update to the last BIOS version that is provided by Silicon Image!
