Topic: [SOLVED] DriverPacks BASE + nLite

Hi there......

I'm trying to make a custom win xp pro sp2 with the drivers to recognize SATA hdds without hit f6. I know that DriverPack Base do it, but I want to customize my cd with nLite too.
I did this:

1- copy the windows cd to a folder (make a backup of originals txtsetup.sif and winnt.sif)
2- slipstream with dp base and the DriverPacks I want (backup created txtsetup.sif and winnt.sif)
3- customize with nLite (remove components, add themes, serial, changed a lot of stuff smile (backup created txtsetup.sif and winnt.sif)
4- make a bootable iso with nLite

Then I compared the txtsetup.sif and winnt.sif and saw that nLite mess up with the files created by DP.
Now I think the iso is not going to work. Didnt test it because I dont know how to make VMware emulate a SATA hdd.

Thought somebody could help me here.

Re: [SOLVED] DriverPacks BASE + nLite

Integrate the DriverPacks AFTER nLite ... then it works.

Re: [SOLVED] DriverPacks BASE + nLite

Hi
yes, you can still use NLite for making the ISO.

Copy a fresh source..
Run DPsBase to slipstream drivers AFTER you did Nlite for slimming it down and creating winnt.sif..
And then you can use Nlite to make the ISO.

The answer was 42?
Kind regards, Jaak.
