PCI\VEN_11AB&DEV_6140&SUBSYS_061C637D&REV_01\4&5D18F2DF&0
    Name: AV4QU2UO IDE Controller
    Hardware ID's:
        PCI\VEN_11AB&DEV_6140&SUBSYS_061C637D&REV_01
        PCI\VEN_11AB&DEV_6140&SUBSYS_061C637D
        PCI\VEN_11AB&DEV_6140&CC_010400
        PCI\VEN_11AB&DEV_6140&CC_0104

This hardware id is getting matched by dpms to the Marvell drivers in section [M]

ms_3_deviceName="Marvell RAID 614x SATA2"
ms_3_tag="mv614x"
ms_3_sysFile="mv614x.sys"
ms_3_hwids="PCI\VEN_11AB&DEV_6120,PCI\VEN_11AB&DEV_6140,PCI\VEN_11AB&DEV_6141"
ms_3_isBusExtender=false
ms_3_exc_disableIfOS="w2k"

That may be the problem if you don't have a Marvell SATA controller.  VMware passes some hardware info from the Host to the VM.

Interesting.  Yes, I can see why there'd be a delay from a network share.  I'll probably spend some time tweaking the code this weekend.

Not yet. Should be today.

The drivers need to be decompressed into their respective folders.
The only portion of WAIK that is needed is DISM.

WAIK 3.0: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/de … px?id=5753
WAIK 3.1 supplement: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/de … px?id=5188

Hmmm, can you post your HWID list?

Thanks for the links!  I can't remember where I grabbed the Sony ones.  I think it was from their new 14P ultrabook but I can't remember.

Already in work. wink

v12.04r1
Updated
- At\ Atheros AR813X/AR815X Series PCI-E Ethernet Controller DriverVer = 12/23/2011,2.0.9.13
- I\ Intel from 17.0 CD (3/23/2012)
- M\ Marvell Yukon Ethernet Controller to DriverVer = 03/23/2012, 11.45.4.3
- R4\ Realtek 10/100/1000 PCI-E NIC Family NDIS XP DriverVer = 02/22/2012,5.794.0222.2012

When I get some time I'll have to play with this and see if it can be implemented.  I'm working on a separate project that seems to be taking all my time.
Thanks!

Well that's odd.  That HWID isn't supported.  It appears that you have your controller in "legacy" mode.  Can you switch it to AHCI mode and retry?

Hmmm.  I think I know what's causing this.  Can you post your HWIDs?

Symantec is complaining your .exe is a virus.  Can you post the source code using [ code ] tags?

Those errors should be fixed in the upcoming DriverPack LAN 12.04.  I've moved the ifcoemp.inf, ifcoepr.inf, ifcoevb.inf (and other files) to the \Server\ folder.  Delete the \Server\ folder on all OS except server 2k8 or 2k8r2.

The only explanation I have for you is that when DriverPacks BASE "integrates" the Third Party DriverPack HID (or any DriverPacks other than dpms), it just copies the pack to the \OEM\ folder of the target source and renames it to comply with the 8.3 dos file names.

This file had to be renamed to be compatible with 8.3 filenames.

Original filename: DP_HID_wnt5_x86-32_1109r1.7z is now DP_HID_w.7z

dpms is the ONLY one of the DriverPacks that DriverPacks BASE modifies the txtsetup file.

Can you post your DPs_BASE.log so we can see how you're integrating the DriverPacks?

That's impossible.  The Third Party DriverPack HID doesn't make any changes to txtsetup.  Only dpms makes those changes.

Hmm.  It's possible.  I'd have to do some testing.
Maybe I'll put it on my "to do" list.

I don't know how you'd do your second option.  How would the script know what machine it's running on?  I'm not going to have it scan HWIDs and match a table of known laptops.  That would take longer than to copy the files over! smile

Did you check your nlite build in a VM before using DriverPacks?
You can use Nlite (we don't recommend it), but you MUST test your resulting build BEFORE using DriverPacks BASE.
Nlite is really aggressive when modifying system files.

Once you're satisfied that your build is working, THEN use DriverPacks BASE.

Got 'em.

Hmmm, I dropped Vista like a bad habit.
You can probably find limited support over here: http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php? … ded-vista/
I'd recommend moving to Win7 ASAP.  Win8 will be out next year and Vista will just be a bad memory for most.

No, the hash file in the .torrent is 45454e5598c386b32b2f28f573ffbafb and that's the same as on the download page here:
http://driverpacks.net/driverpacks/wind … /hid/12.03
utorrent is showing 37 seeders for that file (including me).  Looking at the file hash that I uploaded it matches 45454e5598c386b32b2f28f573ffbafb.

I don't know why the client is showing 9CDB79D633EBEA5C58C3BD57E06E63EF03F26801 as the hash when it clearly isn't.

I'm downloading it via sftp directly from the seed server to compare the file hashes to make sure.
*Edit
Confirmed that the file on the seed server matches all the info on the download page and they are identical.
I'm currently seeding that file at about 2kb/s so it must be working.  38 seeders and 9 peers.

Well the obvious answer is to delete the B\ folder and try your integration.  If that doesn't work, then put the B\ folder back and delete the H\ folder instead and try again.
Let me know which folder works and I'll try for a permanent fix.

This might be a conflict between the B\ and H\ folders again.

Sorry about that.
DriverPack LAN is next on my list to update with the new folder structure (split by OS) which should make it easier to delete all driver files not required for an OS integration.

I picked the userbar from this page: http://driverpacks.net/userbars
Copied the link, then pasted it with "IMG" tags like so:
