Thank you. Looking forward to your test results.
Oh, and before anyone asks...I'm already working on the ATI Catalyst 7.9 suite released yesterday.
Tried the Graphics B 7.09.1 but still got the same Matrox popup. I tried it both with and without QSC, but still got the same result on both the Dell Optiplex 745 and the Optiplex GX620.
OK, grasping at straws here. Can you retest by integrating into a fresh source after replacing all three graphics DriverPacks .ini files with the following code:

If you notice, I made the .ini exceptions more strict by adding additional tagfiles. It's difficult for the older ATI drivers in the C DP because they mostly contain the same-name files.
Incidently the newest driver on Intels site I could find with 865 support is
DriverVer=09/20/2005,6.14.10.4396
Hmmm, that's odd. When I refreshed the Intel folders, that driver wasn't listed (at least I don't remember it) which was why the changelog read I\5 was unchanged.
I'll compare the .infs and add it in there. Thanks for pointing that out.
I'm reluctant to add Dell drivers into the Intel folders, only because I would like to keep the DriverPacks as generic as possible. We may add them in if Dell makes a 'unified' package that covers a wide range of their products, otherwise we'd be forever updating these DriverPacks just for incremental changes to a single platform.
*Edit,
I remember why I left I\5 alone now...It was the only driver to support 830M (And 845G/865G), the newer driver drops 830M support. Seeing how you can't even buy new Socket 478 mobos with 845/865/875 chipsets anymore (I've only found them on ebay), we may be revamping the whole Intel folder into a 'legacy' DP later in the future. Either that, or breaking the driver signing by combining all the driver files together along with all the .infs...should save some weight.
Anyway, I'll see what I can do.
Thanks Jaak,
The .ini M-1 section was looking for a MTX*.dll when it didn't need to (so I took it out). I figure just the .inf/exe matching would be sufficient.

chud & cwbshaw, can you two download and test this nightly build? I did not include any Dell specific drivers, but I fixed some of the Intel (deleted I\7, added I\4 for 845G) and the Matrox (.ini edit).
Erik?
could you perhaps update your tute with parts of the txt I use in the tute I keep online?
Sure Jaak,
When I get some free time this weekend I'll take care of it.
cwbshaw, I'm still at a loss why your finisher log looks like it does. I'm going to try to recreate your setup and install it over the weekend. Can you email me at mr_smartepants_a-t_driverpacks.net with your specific integration contents/order?
I've already tested using all the DriverPacks together and I'm not encountering your errors.
Thanks for reporting back. Well, that should NOT be happening. I'll get on that straight away. My initial guess is something I put in the .ini file for Matrox that somehow matches the ATI files.
*Edit
Well, this part of your finisher log is very interesting:

Notice how all the criteria are being met by a single .inf?
According to your log, you should have the ATICCC installed as well as the control panel. Someone else reported that error as well but we couldn't track it down to anything. Oh yeah, it was you back on page-3 that reported the double ATI install. Did you have the QSC enabled in the DPBase? If so, please delete everything in the QSC folder.
BTW, what's up with the HTML code on: http://www.driverpacks.net/DriverPacks/

I had a similar issue with this at the end of last year. I mentioned a fix in this thread, but forgot to give Muiz the details.
I implemented your fix in the 7.09 nightly build I'm currently working on. I'm wrestling with the Intel audio drivers at the moment. I hope to have a test build up in the next day or so for you to test.
Cat file is missing in Intel Embedded drivers. Intel didn't include Embedded cat file.
Try last test package, but remove Intel Embedded drivers.
Does graphics drivers load at Dell GX260,GX270 and GX280?
Good catch. I'm downloading the intel package again to look for the .cat file (it's referenced in the .inf). Odd that Intel would release the package without double checking the referenced files were included.
I agree with cdob, delete the G\I\7 folder and repackage. I think we can probably delete that folder entirely since it's meant for Linux, WinCE, and XP embedded which are not supported by the Driverpacks in general.
Hello! Intel!!! Unified driver please....please?
*Edit,
Nope, the .cat file is missing from that Intel package. I'll remove the folder and reupload a 7.09.1 nightly including some Dell drivers in a day or so.
NHS eh? Do you work in their IT dept? I'll be retiring in two years and need a job (Adenbrookes) to keep busy.
I'll troll the Dell website and put together a test DP of Dell drivers. Similar to what you did.
As long as the .inf points to the correct folder location, it doesn't really matter where the driver files are located.
As to the .cat files, Intel ALWAYS includes the .cat files, Dell on the other hand does so infrequently.
I've had this problem in the past, and I've found that it was caused by removing drivers from driver.cab with nLite. If I select to NOT remove any drivers using nLite, everything in VPC works perfectly.
VPC just uses synthetic hardware/software drivers to interface with the host system.
Well first off, I should apologize for bringing down the Driverpacks tracker system while updating the website a few days ago. Thankfully, Jaak managed to step in and save the day. Good job Jaak!
Now for the news!
The Graphics Driverpacks have been rigorously tested and beat-on for the past two months, and now they're ready for primetime. All three Graphics Driverpacks have reached parity in their version numbers. 7.09 for the A, B & C Graphics Driverpacks. They're 99% bug-free (still some bug reports from SysPrep users and the odd nVidia BSOD report), but those occur under conditions the average user should not encounter. We'll continue to beat on the Driverpacks, but keep those bug-reports coming in. We can only fix issues if we're aware of them.
The LAN Driverpack was updated to 7.09 and soon we'll be seeing 7.09 releases of the other Driverpacks as we wrap up testing on those.
I'd like to personally thank all those from the testing team (you know who you are!) You guys are ruthless and thorough! I wouldn't have it any other way.
New hardware is being developed and sold every day. We need all the testers we can get. The more hardware we can test on, the better the Driverpacks will get.
Like Jaak said:
You need us? We need you!
*Edit, 11 Sept.
The Graphics Driverpacks all received bugfixes since the 7.09 release. Most fixes were in the .ini section.
New DP versions are:
Graphics_A 7.09.1
Graphics_B 7.09.2
Graphics_C 7.09.1
The UpdateTracker will get updated soon to reflect these recent changes.
Did you notice if the drivers included any .cat files? My experience is 'No'. That would explain why your still getting the "Driver node not trusted" errors.
The problem with including all the Dell specific drivers is that the G_B DP would balloon in size well beyond what the average user (or the server) could handle.
In cases like this, it's not unheard of for the user to create their own DP, as you have done, for specific (troublesome) hardware.
I myself cannot use the 3rd party Modem DP because the Motorola driver .inf overlaps my Agere modem .inf and installs the wrong driver. My solution? My own specialized modem DP.
Always go with the numerically higher version.
Test versions are just that...for testing purposes. Many times test versions become final, but other times there are components missing from test versions that get fixed when made final.
First post updated.

We should be able to finalize all these DriverPacks and put this thread to bed. Any takers?
Holy Cow!
54 subfolders under ACER?
Surely some of those files are duplicates and can be converged.
There is some exception coding in Base for method 1, and intel and NV folders are hard referenced in the code
Good to know! I knew nvidia drivers were tricky for a reason.
I guess I should buy an nvidia-based system when I build my new rig for Xmas.
Absolutely! And it's where I got some of my inspiration for this project.

Thanks,
There are others working the issues. JakeD posted a test LAN DP for this chipset.

The Chipset DP should follow soon, but the Mass Storage drivers look complicated. Best to leave that one for others experienced in the task (Jaak, Muiz).
