did you try reverseing the letters for SAD Disc... or just WS's app? wink

the SAD script has a test/exit routine in addition to the above code and that may alter your results...
create M1 source
alter the order of the letters possably or possably just omit D E and F ?
put on your DVD then call the edited dp_inst_tool.cmd from guirunonce

OH YEAH!... Take That!!!! wink

(since he has a custom tag it may not be obvious to all that he was jsut added to the testing team... big_smile)

try this as a solution (this will work for SAD Disc too)

FOR %%i IN (Z Y X W V U T S R Q P O N M K J I H G F E D C) DO IF EXIST %%i:\CD.txt SET CDROM=%%i:

THE REVERSE order of the serch should put the removable drives last wink

the md5 are generated manually by the team when they are uploaded

there is a similar request to this already - something like verify archives or similar terms/title it was denied please see that topic

It is likely that the integrated mouse driver that was matched to your sytem is not the best match for your system...

See if you can find a better match install and see if that driver cures your issue,

Welcome to DriverPacks

Oh - i think we can call that a bug...

if you like you can take ther rare opportunity to create a bug report at the bugtracker !

Thanks for the feedback, it makes DriverPacks better!

Thanks a million JakeLD

Hey ... update the title to ...

[REQ] Copy DPs_BASE.log to Slipstream location

offer option to (see title)

ps I like your kind of lazy wink

Ok that was very helpful...

Here is the scoop there is no native driver for rage for win 2k...
We do have the most recent ATI driver from their site included in the packs.
DriverVer=09/26/2001, 6.13.3279.0

this driver does not contain a super generic hwid and you have a knock off or OEM video card

specifically, your finisher log lists a HWID of
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_5046&SUBSYS_04041002&REV_00\4&415A68E&0&0008: Video Controller (VGA Compatible)

there is no match for PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_5046&SUBSYS_04041002 in the ATI driver.
nor does the ATI driver list the "Super Generic" PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_5046
So the driver is there but it won't ever get used for your video card... sad

two solutions

one you can find the correct driver for this card and provide a link to it.
I recommend this option as the best choice and hope you can find it for us

two you can try this test pack that i hacked.
i recommend choice one please

note to team i copied the original inf and renamed it to ATIxpDPs.inf removed all HWIDS and added the super generic. in this way signing is not broken on the original inf and we still add support for the super generic Our super generic is, of course, not signed. So what... the original INF is unmodified and still signed wink

DriverPack Graphics B jeff mod (ludicrous speed) add support for ati super generic

Hey WarmSnow!,

The problem is detailed at the end of this topic... http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=3075

the short story is that the machine is assigning the removable media drives (card readers) ahead of the systemdrive ( system drive = h: ) so when the script attemts to read the empty card slots it hangs indefinately

well after three r four years of people asking us to add stuff we rarely get request for drivers anymore (except updates) so based on that i think we cover over 95% of all hardware (at least the hardware people buy and use)

Size has nothing to do with it - its all about the HWIDS... you should know that by now...

the easy way would be to copy the log file to your slipstream folder... wink

ATI Rage PRO is natively supported by windows (even 2k, i am pretty sure). and should not need DriverPacks
did you remove native drivers with nLite or other program? We do not replace all of the native drivers.
I cant remember if rage pro is in graphics c or not... maybe mr_s will chime in here... wink
you could put a rage pro driver in a 3rd party DriverPack of not, or if you just have one you really like...

Did you add the 3rd party DriverPack for modems ?

your link doesnt work...

As far as i know were not missing any drivers... so why would we embark on this journy...

this may be possable without too much trouble
I mean generating a machine specific pack - not adding 2gig of drivers from a set of folders wink

with the dpinst tool from ms this may be pretty easy to do indeed. single machine packs are not in keeping with our goals and objectives. Our primary objective is to have a set of drivers that will support all hardware. so that would be teh opposite wink however if i can do it without to much trouble i dont see why it couldn't be done as a stand alone app / script (like dp_inst_tool for example).

put a post over in feature requests (so i dont forget) and we will see what happens, I'm sure your not the only one who would like this.

I agree
every one can get what they want...
