RE: column width... I don't have permission to access those files on the server...
We can only change the content...

Under \I1\HDMI
because the INF is not standard wink
hey if that is the only change i have to make manually WOO HOO...

two other problems i have not nailed down yet are Control panel fields
we need to do those manualy for now too... NBD

and WLAN and LAN have extra Info that i blieve will have to also be entered manually
I will have to see...
but i think speed and connection type and wireless type all will probably have to be manually entered

Hey looks good! Did the code help?

Are you working on the quotes in the inf titles?

Um i never even looked at it ... LOL
i was on a mission... wink

the quotesw dont bother me one way or the other... wink

edit...
i have a routine now that finds many of the control Panels

deleteing the base INI acomplishes this already... wink (and it is a one button solution too big_smile)

I don't see a logical solution to provideing a default install location.
But i am open on that
(I could write our own installer application LOL)

Other details do you need?

Well i made you a list didnt i?

http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic. … 269#p25269

waht version of DriverPacks BASE did you use?
did the other OS's work OK?

did you slipstream mass storage into each and everyone of the OS's
was DriverPacks the LAST thing you did to each OS?

because it was named wrong...

it should have been named DP_Graphics_A_wnt5_x86-32_81002

error 2 is not DriverPacks related

error 1 indicates that the driverpacks were not copied to the target PC.

Since you still have not given us any details i am at a loss to answer you....

BUT... my guess is you used DriverPacks Method 2 but then did not select DriverPack MassStorage on all of the sources.
that is the minimum that you can select and have it work... wink

acknowledged... notifying "The Boss"  wink

you have had zero access in all this time????
usually it is just a hiccup.

did you try ipconfig /flushdns
that might bump you to a different server at simple CDN?

Re: can you help me?

We can - but we need DETAILS!
this sounds like a simple problem so we will see... However
Technicaly this is off topic  so i will move it to the "OTHER" forum later...

Welcome to DriverPacks and have a great day

@Wim download issues persist... thread here http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=3157

@Kickarse - God luv ya... I knew you were a team player!

It only took me about an hour and a half to code it from scratch wink
And it is written all by me in my style... wink (hardcore) big_smile
at this point it is probably easier for me to finish writing it,
as it is in my head, than to adapt anyone elses code wink
(even from a totaly awesome dude like you)

You can email me at any time you like - perhaps it may help - i won't know if i don't try... wink

If you like i will share with you too wink perhaps we can each benifit as a result!

Again i am quite pleased that you so freely donate your time and skills

Thanks a million...

well you could cheat a little...

my script works right?

Put your apps in the DriverPacks.net folder too...

so at the end of my dpinst script add the calls to your apps... wink
add your lines at the end of the script
- right above the :Done and Exit lines.

"%DPLoc%\myapp1"
"%DPLoc%\myapp2"
"%DPLoc%\adobe\setup"

:Done
EXIT

i don't see any reason that would not work...

But currently the server is getting hammered and there's a "server unavailable" error.  Just be patient, and keep trying.  This happens everytime we have a major release.

Huh? The download server or the web server? I haven't seen this?

Simple CDN was hiccuping on DriverPack Graphics C... I bumped the file and it seems to be working again.

re CHangelogs

I spent 6 hours updateing the changelogs and other php files yesterday...

then i said - I am not doing this again...
i am 95% done with a program that generates the PHP content form the folders and INF files in a pack!

currently it gets about 95% of the info correct ther are some dupes and some variable names taht show up instead of the values of the variables... But it is close to done... I am never going to spend an entire day updateing the overview pages on the site ever again...

Once the page is correct you will know i nailed down that last 5%  wink

incorrect assumption...

At that time we were paying for bandwith and had a limited amount to go around.

we forced people to the server because referers were used to prevent leaching
(in this way people can not link directly to the files - if they did they were denied access)
Only the links on our site would allow downloading this prevents bots  from grabbing the files
daily, or hourly, or every five min, or whatever insanity some goofball could concieve.
(If the source of a request was not "driverpacks.net" it would fail...)

You are sort of right about the money thing...
However since we don't get any donations either way that is not it...
It's Because we don't / didn't have any money that we couldn't afford to go over our bandwidth
everybody wants it all for nothing - go figure - and then they want to complain about it too... wink
(yes i just took a shot at you - Teasing!!!!  just teasing! wink

in the last year there have been like five people that donated a few dollars each.
i am sure it was not even enough to cover Wim's hosting costs and a beer...
And is why downloading them from the program was never done...

So donations was not the reason it was setup that way  (at least not directly)
It was because it was not possable - because there never were any donations. wink
free is one thing but having to dig into your own pockets is just wrong...

but That is NOT the main reason...

The main reason is because we think YOU SHOULD READ THE CHANGELOG!
And i don't see that reason changeing - and it is a valid reason

So if we take into account the fact that Simple CDN now donates our bandwith (Woo Hoo, those guys rock)
i suppose i could force the user to view the Change log and agree that they read it (like a license agreement) from base.

Perhaps we could take a look at download buttons again...

However you are not ever going to be able to get around clicking on multiple pages
because that would not be prudent. IE we just moved all the business graphics drivers from
DriverPack Graphics C to DriverPack Graphics B. Someone who was used to getting those files might download the same pack they
always did only to find out their drivers are no longer in the pack they thought they were...

So when they show up and say my drivers are missing!
I can say did you read the changelog? (you clicked on the button that said you did tongue )

I'll take a look at this...
since our bandwith is now free -

* * * Thanks to Simple CDN! * * *

One of the main obsticals to this IS now gone...

jeff

PS i had considered this myself already, but more important issues seem to always creep in and push it aside

PSS added to TODO List

i saw it on the graphics pack c just now also...

i bumped the files on the server and cleared the cache for my browser...

it seems to be working now...  keep us posted

thanks for reporting...!

So glad to be of service...
You did a wonderful job providing details, Thank you.

May I trouble you for just a few more?

which version of UBCD4Win
can you post your HWID's for me
(link for tool in my signature)

well i was going to release it today -
but now i have to go back to the drawing board. big_smile LOL tongue big_smile wink

thanks a million neighbor (you seem to be close to here wink)

Moved to correct forum

um...

I believe you are making a feature request sir!

moved...

I will take a look at it -
IDK if anything can be done about multi-select
- if it is an available option... then sure

my memory is that column width is not selectable
(I think it is calculated as a percentage of the box's size)
again, if it is supported as an option... then sure...

I hope so too... wink we will see OK?

Edit ...
appropriate title added/edited

the directions are correct as written...

should be read as exclusions (when met) will stop further processing of the section.

At least one +hwid MUST exist / match or the section will not be used
If ANY -hwids exist at all then the entire section will be ignored

review
+ must exist
- cannot exist
then section processed

it is not neccessary, usually, to have more than one of these types of lines wink

Use the main packs as reference ther are some excellent examples in them... (DriverPack Graphics A)

req granted

Welcome aboard...

i will investigate...

by george i think you have a bug sir...

Well... you are headed in the opposite direction we have always gone and i am sure you know that... wink lol

we want all the drivers all the time not some of the drivers some of the time and some of the drivers all the time... wink

having said that (and gotten it out of the way) rofl wink

i can see where it would be nice for a company that had 200 dell model XXXX PC's to have custom DriverPacks

look up your model in an index and download tailor made packs... Very cool Idea...
especially for laptops which always seem to be a PITA

this has Often been a topic of disussion and I am certainthere would be a huge demand for it...
teh initial time investment to get this off the ground would be huge...
on the other hand we have a few hundred thousand end users, a dozen or more may even help wink not so bad then tongue

so from me you got

1) the official kibosh - about violation of our montra

2) An excited cry for more!     Bring it on Dude!

Man i love it when you come over to our house and play!

PS based on your speed comment i guess i planted a seed that grew?

http://driverpacks.sytes.net/driverpack … 809RC1.lng

try Muiz update and let me know if that is working for you

Thanks for posting!

the only difference between 8.9 and 8.10 is language updates for non english big_smile ;P

LOL I so forgot about that... I am very sorry... my sincere apology

here is the 8.10 link http://dev.driverpacks.thesneaky.com/dr … 810rc3.exe
