Topic: [NEEDSREPLY] STOP 0x0000007E error during text based setup

Hi,

I am getting a STOP 0x0000007E error during the text based setup at the point where it says "Setup is starting Windows". I am using all of the latest driver packs and also have mass storage text mode slipstreamed. At this stage it only seems to be happening on a fairly recent core2duo machine. older machines seem to be working fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Prolly a daft question but, have you tried building the system with a 'vanilla' cd?
This could be a dodgy RAM error.
