Topic: Question: About Drivers Files

I was checking the .inf in some folders seeing the [SourceDisksFiles] part.

Here's a example:

....................................

[SourceDisksFiles]
amdagp8k.sys=1
amdagp8p.sys=1
amdmp8x.sys=1
pnpagp.vxd=1
amdagp8x.inf=1

..................................

Now i now that this files have to be in the same directory as the .inf to property  install the driver, but i see that the files's name are like this:

Amdagp8k.sy_
Amdagp8p.sy_

Also i dont see the last 3 files in this directory in particular.

Exactly. And yes, Windows still can handle compressed (CAB compression that is) drivers, so don't worry wink
