Topic: [SOLVED] Issue w/ JMicron on ASUS P5B

Hey Guys,

I'm sorry to tell you about another DriverPack-Disease:

A week ago, i bought an ASUS P5B Mainboard (w/ JMicron JMB36x Chipset) and Intel 965 Southbridge. HDD is an S-ATA2 from Samsung.

After slipstreaming all Chipset-Drivers (w/ Textmode) in my Installation, i began to install.

But it ends up in a bluescreen before i could chose on what storage i could install.

Then i tried to to the same thing w/ F6 loading the shipped drivers, and specify them as default. Same thing, ended in Bluescreen...

After that, i did a CD without any DriverPacks, and loaded the shipped drivers only --> And it worked flawlessly!

So i think the Chipset drivers were the fault... or not?

PS: Sry Bâshrat the Sneaky for not posting the HWID's, the PC is not in my hand at the moment...

Same problem here. A friend of me has a p5b deluxe mobo too. Any solutions?

had the same problem though, i solved it by integrating the drivers which were delivered within...

First of all, we are need to release DP MassStorage 6.12, and only after releasing them, to verify working it with problematical devices, i.e. JMicron etc

I confirm the problem too.
When it starts to detect the hdd, it reports (BSOD) to check hdd because it could be infected by virus and it suggest to make a chkdsk /F. System halted :'(((

I'll wait for a fix, in the meanwhile i've to put the drivers in a fdd and install them the old way :'(((

I solved the problem with Ruud.
