Dibya,

This driver pack didn't work for me.

XP Setup loaded and detected the drive fine, but then on reboot it BSOD'd to 0x0000007B.

Chipset was H81.

Good news you didn't do anything wrong. wink After testing a few hours i found out what the problem is.
The DriverPack BASE "un7zip.exe" file is not fully compatible anymore with the latest 7zip versions.
We have to use 7-Zip v9.20 to compress the Driver Packs or we could run into problems like this.

Here you go Dibya:

Be aware:  Not all ASMedia drivers work with XP...  For example, they cut off support for XP in the 1042 chipset after a certain version.

Re: [Nightlies] DP_MassStorage_wnt5_x86-32_1304-1412 - Public

I haven't had a need for my XP PE disc in many years but came across a system where it might help and was happy to see you guys have still been updating the driver packs. I haven't updated mine since 2015 so I figured before I move forward with a repair, I'd inject your latest packs.

However I have an issue and also a question:

1) My DriverPacks BASE 10.06 is showing "where did you go" beside Chipset, even though I have it in the 'BASE\DriverPacks' folder while the rest of the items are showing what I believe is an older version 12.09. I have placed "DP_MassStorage_wnt5_x86-32_180421.7z" in 'BASE\3rd party DriverPacks' along with "DP_LAN_wnt5_x86-32_180421.7z" which is showing 12.05.

Can anyone advise as to how I can get it to pick up the newer versions? Sorry guys, it's been three years!

2) Is the VMware SCSI driver in there? I was able to add it to a base XP PE disc back in the day but since converting to your driver packs I'm not sure if it's in there. https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/1005208

Thanks in advance!

Hi
Haven't been here for a while. Could you add a working link to the latest 'good' nightly build please.
The links above don't seem to work any more.
I am wondering if it is time to update Easy2Boot with a later set of DPMS XP 32-bit drivers...

Hey SteveSi,

Nobody has been active on here in a very long time.

We can see if this generates any interest big_smile.

alternately we used to have a very active Russian that would repost our nightlies and independently update them and report back here, like a Russian audience go between. He was / is still active and may provide a high quality source for you. SamLab is his online handle.

Thanks for E2B, it's one of my favorite tools ever and I use it daily.
