Hello Friend
I too would like to keep XP for another 10 years
but in these last two years I am having a lot of problems to install it on new PCs,
xp for me has 4 problems:
1) does not support natively ahci, and we are forced to increasingly integrate new massstorage driver packages,
install after the installation would be impossible, since not seeing the hard drive you can not proceed with the installation, and with the F6 key can be integrated only via floppy disk, how sad !!
2) does not open hard disk with GPT partitions, but I have read that replacing the disk.sys file to Windowz 2003 server, this problem is solved
3) his now ACPI driver does not work on new PCs, and the blue screen appears
4) do not have native support for USB 3, and as many new PCs have only USB ports 3, it is impossible to make them work, you always find a suitable driver, if any.
using XP as PE, I often find myself not being able to use the USB ports 3, and when there are only those, I can not connect a keyboard, mouse, external hard drives, etc.
about to launch the new app, I do not care much, fit me old.
however, we are now at the end, I will soon be forced to upgrade to Windows 7 or even Windows 8, since even Windows 7 has native support for USB 3
Windows 10 sucks, testing it and putting it in comparison with Windows 7 and Windows 8, it is much heavier and bug
