Topic: SchoolProject : DriverPacks

Hi there!
For a schoolproject i'm making an universal image that i can deploy / upload with a fog - server.
Problem is , we got a huge difference in hardware so universal driverpacks are needed.

After the sysprep , windows 10 looks in de windows/inf folder & search for the best drivers.
But i see the last universal driverpacks from this site are for windows 7.

Do you give have any idea how i can find driverpackes what windows can use while installing.

Greetings,
Thanks!

Re: SchoolProject : DriverPacks

tell me more about the project. is this a college? how many computers? how many OS's?. remote installs or just a demo on a table.

I'm sorry ,
i was really busy & i see your answer right now.

On this moment we are cloning images with FOG server (no sysprep because its doing a bit weird in windows 10) -- & we need to implement driverpacks because we have huge difference in hardware.  Its going to like 200 computers.

But i heard something about SAD3 - TOOL for doing this?
can u guys help me?

Re: SchoolProject : DriverPacks

have you tested SAD to see if it worked ?

remote deployment always is problematic because of the size of the DriverPacks.

3 GB of drivers over a LAN even a fast one presents issues.

I didn't it test it yet. I'm searching for an good tutorial of SAD3.
I'm going to search at our laptops what drivers they need & just pick them what they need so we don't need to push 3gb of driverpacks.

I think that a few lines need edited to allow Win 10. I have not tested it myself.

Re: SchoolProject : DriverPacks

Hi boeleke,

I have come across some materials which might help.

Dell provide driver packs for their kit:

http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter … deployment

As do HP

http://www8.hp.com/us/en/ads/clientmana … -pack.html

Lenovo have updates too but I have no Lenovo devices so....  The link is in the ebook below!

Microsoft has published a free ebook on deploying Win 10, although they focus on using SCCM - their deployment and management tool, it still has a lot of advice in.  The bits regarding preperation of computers is quite good - mentioning their best practice techniques in any writeup you do should go down well I imagine!

https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/micros … n-manager/

I only stopped by to see what was new and whether there is any Windows 10 driver packs and thought I could perhaps help.  Good luck.

......
Edited - I had mixed names up, Ooops!
