Re: 3rd Party DriverPacks - TUTORIAL
That's not a file but a folder.
Please see any existing pack on how to layout the folder structure properly.
In general, it goes like
\D\3\[YourOwnFolderName]\[YourOwnDriverSubdirs]\

A newbie question:
When I create a custom driverpack including drivers for different computers, only the drivers needed on a specific computer will be installed (just like the official DriverPacks), right?
Yes
Hi everybody
I'm a newcomer here, so please forgive me in advance for silly questions
Anyway, congratulations and thank you all for this fantastic work you've done !
Now, to my (silly) questions :
I'm willing to generate my own personal driver pack which will include drivers for :
- iMon soundgraph telco
- two (yes, two) sets of drivers for TV Cards : one for Club 3D ZAP2201, one for Terratec Cynergy 2400.
- Do I have to re-create the whole range of sub-directories, w/ B, BT, etc... (most of them empty), or
- Just two subdir., H (for HID) and T (for TV), or
- Just one Subdir. under D/3/ ?
Thank you in advance for helping
You may do as you please, but you will need at least \D\3\
I recommend using at least one additional subdir for better order.
Pick any short (!) name that has not been used, yet.
The reason to keep paths short is that there's a 4096 character limit on all paths combined. Exceeding this leads to problems with Windows (patchs get truncated, no drivers installed etc.)
Thank
Can i make 3rd partty mass storage sata/ahci driver because my driver isn't listed in mass storage drivers pack?

No, not Third Party DriverPacks. But you could attempt to modify the dpms to add what it is missing.
dpms is a VERY difficult beast to tame. The .ini contains many pitfalls and you WILL break your system is it goes wrong.
