Topic: USB 3.0 drivers

Some laptops manufactured during the transition from USB 2.0 to USB 3.0 had both 2.0 and 3.0 ports on the same laptop. My understanding is that because the mobo oems had not yet integrated USB 3 fast enough into all of the motherboards, the PC oems included USB 3 ports that were connected via PCI Express.

Are most of those USB 3 drivers included in DP MassStorage as opposed to DP Chipset?

Thank you.

Re: USB 3.0 drivers

Great!
They should probably be in MassStorage so that Chipset DP may be applied first.
Thank you.

Re: USB 3.0 drivers

That is a great idea!  Welcome to the forum too.
BTW, are you able to select any of the USB 3.0 ports to boot from on those? (go ahead & use USB 2.0 device if 3.0 dev. n/a)

Re: USB 3.0 drivers

Hello.
I'm expecting these USB 3.0 drivers as well. The idea is to integrate them to boot.wim and install.wim on Windows 7 obviously, but I haven't seen a new updated release lately as OverFlow stated two posts above.

Thanks.
