Hi,

The latest chipset driver pack is missing Windows 7x64 HP 6305 USB Drivers:

AMDUSB30\ROOT_HUB30&VID_1022&PID_7812&REV_0003&SID_1850103C
AMDUSB30\ROOT_HUB30&VID_1022&PID_7812&REV_0003&SID_1850103C

The driver has these files:

Thanks!

I am using version 1212, (DP_Chipset_wnt6-x64_1212)

I will test the betapack now.

Tested the betapack - still missing those two drivers after deployment.

Re: [REQ] AMD USB 3.0 - Windows 7 x64 - HP 6305 Missing driver

I wonder...would these USB 3.0 drivers fit better as MassStorage devices, as with NT5?

Yes, that's a good idea.
Windows 7 does support installing from a USB drive.
Reading files from a USB 3 controller/device is faster.
Integrate USB 3.0 drivers to boot.wim.

Be aware: the fun starts smile
Conflicting double driver names and WDFLdr versions ...

Truth be told, it was really your idea.  You did pioneer the NT5 plugin, so many years ago.     smile

Credit must be given to Damnation for his patience in creating & testing txtsetup.oem files for USB3.0 textmode, and making integration possible.  You both did the hard work.

Will avoid WDF drivers at first and conflicting driver names when starting NT6 [Nightlies].

Re: [REQ] AMD USB 3.0 - Windows 7 x64 - HP 6305 Missing driver

What is the status on USB 3.0 drivers for MassStorage for Win 7/8?

Specifically, I am referring to laptops manufactured during the transition from USB 2.0 to USB 3.0 that had both 2.0 and 3.0 ports on the same laptop. My understanding is that because the mobo oems had not yet integrated USB 3 fast enough into all of the motherboards, the PC oems included USB 3 ports that were connected via PCI Express. Are most of those drivers also included in DP?

Thank you.

No update as yet.  Am open to suggestions.
Intel hub/switch drivers possibly "sticky wickets", btw.
Should initial part of Setup force attendent to supply needed driver (Win7-only)?

Re: [REQ] AMD USB 3.0 - Windows 7 x64 - HP 6305 Missing driver

it has been my experience that a usb3 attached thumb drive disappears during setup, and must be removed and replaced to launch setup, otherwise it will insist that it can not find setup files. (did you try looking where these files came from... Duh!)

it has been easier for me to just fly with usb2 speeds, not sure how the disappearing drive issue gets fixed yet.
