i keep hoping to grow the finisher into that tool with a gui.

my kids are 17 and 20 the last few year gettin one through college and the other thru high school then college has taken the few hours a week i used to have for this. I keep promising myself i will get this done. It's simply a matter of time and resources.

I have that on line 212.  Will report back in a day, after some tests.
  Had included some ATi 2k drivers in DP_Graphics_wnt5 earlier.
    It would be good to see that everything is copacetic.

This is the only driver software i ever want to run, other than DPs_BASE.
  There are very few other "open source" and free projects that i know of.

Everything else is "mystery-meat" to me!  "Where's the beef?"

No such luck with Win2k.  Tried with nt5 packs (DP_Misc - successfully integrated w. DPs_BASE) and tried without.
  At first it complained about installing as Administrator, so i created a new profile.

This was the result:

XP has a different message for me when no packs are included.

Strange... The DriverPacks were not found in D:\temp\SAD3-130830\NT5\x86

Thanks Overflow.....been busy with college lately so havent had a lot of time but I did see the win 8.1 rtm and msdn released now so preview could be dropped and final build number added (9600).  2195 is build for w2k but I dont have that os so I cant test.

Where did you get that Third Party DriverPack?  That's not one of ours.
It looks like it may be using a non-standard folder path which is why the script can't find the .inf
Some graphics drivers don't like being installed in this manner.  Sometimes manually is the only way.

Looks like it is one of the packs from driver pack solutions from the Russian site.  Didn't they get their idea from here?  Seems like I read that somewhere...I might be mistaken and if so then please forgive me.

All of their packs were ours, or modified versions of ours. I haven't checked in a while they may have a few that are actually unique. They never were in the past.

Theirs driverpacks much bigger and includes more drivers and also updates much faster. Previously i`ve used only yours packs. btw yours Masstorage is perfect and integrates just brilliantly, but theirs...

Our tools are only certified for use with our DriverPacks.
If you choose to use other Third Party DriverPacks, then they need to provide support.

we tried at one point to get them to join forces with us so we could turn out packs faster.

the main difference was we prefer a pinch of quality control. All our packs are beta tested, tweaked, pre-release tested, and must have all positive feedback before release. They add and release and deal with issues after the fact.

mr_smartepants and i both agree that stability is more important than a version number.
you will rarely if ever have an issue with our release versions.
