where can I find the Win7 x86/x64 nightly builds, because I am interested in building my DVD...?

- Now I also know how to create a multi x86/x64 installation media for Win7, i.e. a AIO DVD
- But I would like to add Mass Storage/Chipset driverpacks into x64 boot.wim next to the x86 one...
Do I need to have 2 separate boot.wim files there?

so to summarize:
- AIO DVD x86/x64 to be created
- at least Mass Storage & Chipset drivers added for both x86 and x64 architectures
- How to integrate these Mass Storage drivers (after extracting)? using the method here: http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=5199
Is this possible somehow? 2 Boot.wim files needed or not? Unsure... (will be my first AIO DVD that I will create and integrate drivers)

There are no nightly NT6 builds at the moment. We just test in DISM and if there are no build errors we release.
The current release dpms is 11.05.1
I'm working on a 11.08 release but I'm on vacation so I'll release it when I get a chance.

If all you want to do is integrate drivers into the boot.wim, you'll need to remark/comment or delete the lines in the batch file that integrate into the install.wim.
You don't need chipset drivers in the boot wim unless you're trying to boot from a USB3 device.

Hmmm given the number of people that boot USB these days it might be a good idea to include the USB3 driver in mass storage also or instead of chipset.

But I think the USB3 drivers are in the DriverPack Chipset...
I always use that one also for integration into boot.wim (and install.wim) next to the DriverPack MassStorage

So do not see why to have USB3 integrated into DriverPack MassStorage, when it is already in DriverPack Chipset...
Just a thought. Nothing more nothing less.

The obvious reason from my perspective is i don't install chipset into a PE environment.

It may work on certain platforms but is not good for all systems.
Same reason that Chipset and CPU are not available for BartPE. It causes issues.

PE is not a windows environment. it's a Preinstallation Environment. Mass and LAN only .

Although I do see how chipset would make sense to most people, it is not recomended.

That is why i recomended USB3 for Mass ... that way people don't have a reason to shoot themselves in the foot by installing chipset in the PE stage of setup .

Well, I did some testing....
It's possible to integrate USB drivers into a WinPE boot.wim image.
Though I'm not sure how effective they would be. To boot from a USB device requires the BIOS/UEFI to support USB booting. That means there's an IDE-translation layer built into the BIOS which makes it appear to the OS that the USB device is a pseudo-IDE device.

As a test, I integrated the current x64 DriverPack Chipset into a vanilla WinPE x64 boot.wim.
DriverPack Chipset x64 contains 221 .inf driver files.
Of those 221, DISM only integrated 154 and ignored the rest.

I haven't checked thoroughly, but it appears that all the USB .inf files were successfully integrated.
The missing ones are probably from the "Vista" folder.

So while it's possible to integrate USB3 into a boot.wim, I still maintain that it's not recommended. Unless someone can prove that there is a distinct benefit to do so AND post benchmarks to prove the drivers are utilized for a speed boost.

what is the dism command line parameters you used to get this list of 3rd party drivers list? I am curious to find that out
and you integrated them into index 1 of boot.wim I understand that (=PE environment).

Then I agree with all you as well, reading your arguments about it
I will only use DriverPack MassStorage for integration into boot.wim and then chipset as well for the install.wim, perhaps

But I am talking about integration into boot.wim index 2 (=Setup mode).
Then it could be wise to have both the DriverPack Chipset and DriverPack MassStorage integrated into index 2 of the boot.wim (next to the install.wim (all indices))
I will then try to make a separate USB3 package for integration next to the DriverPack MassStorage, do you agree?
Should be easy to take them from the DriverPack Chipset and separate the USB3 drivers from there...Then one can decide for themselves if it is needed for integrauon or not

I will try to look into that, when I have more spare time after I have finished the x64 DriverPack MassStorage...
The x86 DriverPack MassStorage is finished will upload to mediafire soon...
