Unable to identify item to load drivers

I'm no 'driver genius'; the genuine Mensa alumni are the men & women that create these drivers and chips for the OEM's & VAR's.
  Your request is easy, though.  Just look up the latest USB HWid list from either http://www.linux-usb.org/usb.ids or the 'USBdevs.txt' file within SIV here http://rh-software.com/downloads/siv.zip & search for your VendorID (VID) specifically 0CF3, then cross-reference the ProductID (PID).  This yields an "Atheros Communications, Inc." & "AR3011 Bluetooth (no firmware)", respectively.   Product Brief

  Minimum requirement for licensing it w. Toshiba Bluetooth v9 is a USB\VID_0CF3&PID_3004 (Atheros HWid support seems to start with v9.00).

  Windows Update has a driver http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/ … ed001d0b44 accessible with IE (WHQL'ed for Win7-8 only), that indicates it to be  USB\VID_0CF3&PID_3000.DeviceDesc="Atheros Valkyrie BootROM".  Are there any Bluetooth devices in your DeviceManager?  use SIV or Microsoft USBView - USB Connection Viewer via an OEM http://www.ftdichip.com/Support/Utilities/usbview.zip

  I'm still a fan of XP & elated to see support continue through mid-decade.  Hardware access has it's advantages at times.

  Do you not find xp64 limiting, or is xp64's notoriety based upon issues that are long a thing of the past?   DP's is actively purging xp64 drivers from the NT5 side of things.

Thanks guys for the information. The new motherboard has bluetooth built in and one of the rear panel connectors is for a bluetooth device. Now that I know what it is I'll have to try to see why the drivers were not automatically installed when I ran the motherboard CD.

Feb 09 I downloaded the DriverPack Donator bar JPG file - will someone please tell me how I include it when I ask a question or post an answer. As many times as I've made comments here I've  failed to find the method by which I can do that.

Understand my profile; have no idea as to meaning of "Just include the image's web-address in your signature with ..."

The image has no web address - is is the same image as yours posted above: Driverpacks.net tester excpet is says donator and is a JPG file.

Thanks - I went and checked my profile and I see that it is in the signature block.  So, given that I peruse other forums and I really would like to know how it's done - what did you really do? I'm assuming my having a copy of the JPG file here was erroneous thinking on my part as to how I add it to my profile.
