I don't get that error, but I'll test the newer version extensively before releasing.

Re: [SLVD] ATI Avivo Codecs error:atimpenc.dll failed to register

Could you make note of the cards used, mrapi for anecdotal reasons, if possible.  One more question; are you using the 3rd-party ATI_runtimes version 1107?  If i'm totally off-base here, forgive the intrusion & disregard.

Re: [SLVD] ATI Avivo Codecs error:atimpenc.dll failed to register

I've had this problem also. I was installing on a Toshiba Satellite L455D.

The error on first startup is: "Error 1904.Module C:\Program Files\Common Files\ATI\Technologies\Multimedia\atimpenc.dll failed to register. HRESULT -2147220473."

I click OK and get the same message as above except with "atixcode.dll"

I click OK and it proceeds to finish starting Windows but pops up the warning: "The ATI Control Panel failed to initialize because no ATI driver is installed, or the ATI driver is not working properly. The ATI Control Panel will now exit." I have tried with both the old and new style ATI control panels.

Looking under Display Properties > Advanced > Adapter, all the information is listed as <unavailable>. Under the Device Manager I see a Display Adapter flagged with the yellow exclamation point thing - "ATI RADEON 3100 Graphics".

I can then manually install the ATI driver 8-8_xp32_dd_67975.exe and it all works fine, so I know the machine is okay.

I can provide more testing info if needed. Thanks for all your hard work in any case!

Re: [SLVD] ATI Avivo Codecs error:atimpenc.dll failed to register

my two penny worth that may or may not help.

Do you need dot net 2 for all features of ATI extras?  (is that what the runtimes bit adds ?)
What happens if you uncheck certain fetaures on Base when you integrate (set up page 11  "other optional setings") ?

why did this chop off the end on point 2.  I always get wierd stuff happen when I type here?

Re: [SLVD] ATI Avivo Codecs error:atimpenc.dll failed to register

According to the documentation, .NET 2.0 is only required for CCC.  The AVIVO codecs are just codecs.  There's no interface for AVIVO other than CCC.

Re: [SLVD] ATI Avivo Codecs error:atimpenc.dll failed to register

mr_smartepants, I plan on building a disc over the weekend bearing in mind the issue I had with an XT800 card  http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=5791 would this test build 1203R1 be a good idea or should I wait a bit ?

DriverPack Graphics A won't help you.  It only has the new drivers that only support HD*000 cards and above.  Your card is supported by the legacy drivers in DriverPack Graphics C.
I'm uploading rc1 of DriverPack Graphics C now for you to test.  I rolled back the legacy drivers to 9.3 for stability.

Can you try this DriverPack Graphics C (with the DriverPack Graphics A above)?

If this doesn't work, I'll have to use an older version of the AVIVO codecs for these legacy drivers.

Re: [SLVD] ATI Avivo Codecs error:atimpenc.dll failed to register

Thanks for reporting back.  I don't think the installer should take that long, but a "win" is a win. smile

Marking topic as "Solved".  The final release is not too far away now. wink

Had similar problem with Macbook Pro a1212 (aka MacbookPro2,1).  Although Display Properties > Advanced > Adapter shows the information.  "Ati Mobility Radeon X1600", and the Display Adapter does not have the yellow flag.

I got the same error messages about atimpenc.dll and atixcode.dll.  I may have gotten the additional error message, but I can't remember.  I too do not have Netfx 2.0 installed.  I also noticed that for a Dell laptop, I could not install the touchpad driver without Netfx 2.0, and it did not give me any error that indicated what it needed.  I think I may put back Netfx 2.0 into my slimmed down XP ISO, as it has become a bit of a requirement?  Anyone else have these experiences?
