Topic: Missing Driver for Fake RAID - Intel(R) 82801FR SATA AHCI Controller

[Strings]
DiskName                = "Intel Application Accelerator Driver"
*PNP0600.DeviceDesc    = "Intel AHCI Controller"
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2652&CC_0106.DeviceDesc    = "Intel(R) 82801FR SATA AHCI Controller"
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2653&CC_0106.DeviceDesc    = "Intel(R) 82801FBM SATA AHCI Controller"

I slipstreamed my Windows Installation CD as usual, but this time I added several driverpacks to make it easy to install everything. I used driverpacks.net way of a pre-execution environment to load all drivers into at boot time. And my fake-RAID isn't working, my old drivers cd is completly caput. But I can confirm my drivers name is Intel(R) 82801FR SATA RAID/AHCI Controller.

My Computer is a Dell Dimension 8200 - Pentium4 3.6Ghz with hyper-treading - 2GB RAM DDR2 - 930GB of new storage (old harddrives is broken)

Any help you guys can give me would be great, especially if it could somehow be integrated into the Mass-Storage package driverpacks.net delivers.

Thanks for any reply!

Re: Missing Driver for Fake RAID - Intel(R) 82801FR SATA AHCI Controller

That driver is already in dpms and has remained unchanged for about 2 years.

For fake-RAID you need fake-drivers! big_smile (sorry, couldn't help myself)

You didn't mention HOW you integrated DriverPacks, or include any log files.  I know the drivers are already in the DriverPacks, so the problem must be with HOW you are using them.

Thats my log file. What more do you need to help me?

I include the mass-storage drivers following method 2.

Re: Missing Driver for Fake RAID - Intel(R) 82801FR SATA AHCI Controller

never do KTD all...

I am sure you have no use for LAN-RIS (Remote Installation Services) since you  are installing from a disc.

that method should work... Did the driver install? if not you could include the relevant section of the setupapi.log file.

Re: Missing Driver for Fake RAID - Intel(R) 82801FR SATA AHCI Controller

Yes, Do not use KTD.  Also, you have too many Third Party DriverPacks and run the risk of not having ANY drivers installed at all because your file/folder path length exceeds the maximum limit.
Remove these and try again:

Skipping the 3rd Party DriverPacks, will retest everything from the beginning. Will reply when completed...

Re: Missing Driver for Fake RAID - Intel(R) 82801FR SATA AHCI Controller

I have now re-tested everything and nothing helps? There is something weird going on?

Re: Missing Driver for Fake RAID - Intel(R) 82801FR SATA AHCI Controller

Did you add any drivers at all with nlite?

Re: Missing Driver for Fake RAID - Intel(R) 82801FR SATA AHCI Controller

not with nlite, but with Driverpacks.net Application for adding drivers to the source.

Re: Missing Driver for Fake RAID - Intel(R) 82801FR SATA AHCI Controller

I don't know, that's a very odd problem.
Try with a fresh source and only integrate DriverPack Chipset & dpms
I'm uploading final versions of 11.07 to the torrent servers now.  Release day will be tomorrow.
