Topic: How to Use devcon.exe ?
I'm new to this Forum and am wondering whether anyone hear can tell me how to use "devcon.exe" to remove about 200 Adapters ?

I read that reference URL . However I'm still puzzled as to exactly how to use "devcon.exe"
I have d/l this file and , when clicked , it invites me to expand it which , when I do so , says it has expanded into 3 files. None of these files as far as I can see are executable files .
If I attempt to follow one of the many examples given , in this case the example "devcon find * " which is supposed to find all devices on my PC ( I think? ) , when I enter the phrase "devcon find *" in a command prompt I get the reply :-
"devcon" is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file"
Obvously I have either failed to instal "devcon.exe" correctly or I'm not following the procedure required to use it.
For information , what I wish to achieve with the use of devcon is remove over 300 MS 6to4 Network Adapters which have mysteriously installed themselves in Device Manager in the "Hidden" section of Network Adapters as a manual removal would take some considerable time.
I am not even certain that I have posted this question in the correct Forum. If that is the case , then I apologise for wasting your time and please ignore this post.

it creates two folders and a textfile
I386 folder contains the 32 bit version of devcon
IA64 folder contains the 64 bit version of devcon
Hint: double click on the one for your version of Windows Operating System (OS)

The decon utility was a act as a device manager in computer and uses a command line utility for that. By using this You can be enable, disable, update, restart, and query individual devices. It also give an information which was relevant to driver developer and not in device manager. It will be run in windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003.
