Topic: Intel 945GM + Mass 10.06 = Problem

Hey guys, been around here for awhile but firsttime poster:)

First of all i will list what i have:
1. piece HP NC6400
2. Onepiece September updatepack
3. DPsBase + your official DriverPacks (all of them inc DP_MassStorage_wnt5_x86-32_1006)

My problem is that nomatter what i try my harddrive refuses to be found by setup. I first integrated the updatepack with ryanvm, then i used DPsBase to integrate all of your stuff. I didnt change any of the options besides location and what packs to slipstream. Textmode (F6) was ofcourse automatically checked.

Everything went smooth with integrating and also creating the new iso with ryanvm integrator, but not really.

I will post the log right here:  Is there anything else you need?

Re: Intel 945GM + Mass 10.06 = Problem

Just a quick question: Why aren't you using the latest dpms 1009?
Also, post your HWID list.
Don't use the Third Party DriverPacks for Printers or Scanners.  They are VERY old.

PCI\VEN_104C&DEV_803B&SUBSYS_30AD103C

Well that's an original one! sad  It's not supported in the DriverPacks.
What motherboard & version # is this a part of?

A Texas Instruments PCIxx12 Integrated FlashMedia Controller.
The hard disk is not connected to this controller.

Do you use IDE emulation at BIOS? Try plain XP files.

Re: Intel 945GM + Mass 10.06 = Problem

Works fine turning off native sata..

Aha so thats the flashmedia controller:)

Re: Intel 945GM + Mass 10.06 = Problem

Working on a hunch, can you edit the dpms 1009 .ini for the following section?
; This section has to be placed before [I4]
[T]
ms_count=2
ms_1_deviceName="TOSHIBA RAID (WXP/W2K3)"

change to:

; This section has to be placed before [I4]
[T]
ms_count=0
ms_1_deviceName="TOSHIBA RAID (WXP/W2K3)"

Then repack and retest.

Moving thread to Mass Storage forum...

I will try that later then thanks again:)

Re: Intel 945GM + Mass 10.06 = Problem

Edit: Before or after integrating the DP? tongue

That would be great of you:)

Edit: Now i tried with editing the mass storage ini file both before and after slipstreaming, same result..
I know it had issues before beacuse it used to be a school laptop and my friend didnt really treat it well (:P) but it works fine with sata native mode off...

Re: Intel 945GM + Mass 10.06 = Problem

I will try test3 later, thanks for your help!:)

I found a way to activate ahci after xpsetup and that worked fine but its not really what i want.

Re: Intel 945GM + Mass 10.06 = Problem

Once AHCI was activated, what is the HWID?  The HWIDs change depending on what mode you're in.

Re: Intel 945GM + Mass 10.06 = Problem

Could be yea, although some works and some doesnt, using same dvd-rw and same burner..

Just pisses me off, ive been trying now for a couple of days.. I had that nvidia problem with your latest graphics a package so i downloaded an earlier one but seems to get the same problem...

Well..i will keep trying today but it takes time to modify, create iso and burn which im sooooo sick and tired of.
