Re: [REQ] Lenovo ACPI - Lenovo Energy Management Driver "ACPI\vpc2004"

I'm guessing the best Third Party DriverPack to put this in would be "misc"?

Re: [REQ] Lenovo ACPI - Lenovo Energy Management Driver "ACPI\vpc2004"

@mr_smartepants: NVM where is placed, just to be available, installing the executable add unneded/unwanted stuff.
Also, i think , you can add ThinkPad Power Management Driver *IBM0068 *IBM0055, newer (exe) driver are  HERE
Under this link are listed products that apply to.

Re: [REQ] Lenovo ACPI - Lenovo Energy Management Driver "ACPI\vpc2004"

I have looked at each of these "drivers" and even created some local packs but they have overlapped hwid's and they seem like they may be the same so I am confused.. especially since I don't have any lenovo's to test with

Re: [REQ] Lenovo ACPI - Lenovo Energy Management Driver "ACPI\vpc2004"

@OverFlow
I subscribe that "power management" or "ACPI" driverpack can be a verry good option.
Also, i somebody wants, at first sight on my usb stick, i have few more:

ATK0100 ACPI\ATK0110 ATK0100 ACPI UTILITY (Driver Only)
ATK0110 ACPI\ATK0100 ATK0110 ACPI UTILITY (Driver Only)
ASUS010 ACPI\ASUS010 ASUS ACPI Driver (Driver Only)

I concur.  Although the power management file you linked to is a newer version of what is contained in the 'misc' Third Party DriverPack \D\3\X\L\IBMPMDRV.INF
I'll look into the ATK updates too. (I already had the ATK110 files from Ricktendo).

Re: [REQ] Lenovo ACPI - Lenovo Energy Management Driver "ACPI\vpc2004"

Both the ASUS ATK Drivers are in the Chipset DP:

    DriverVer=08/23/2007, 1043.2.15.101 (ATK0100)
    DriverVer=08/13/2004, 1043.2.15.37 (ATK0110)

ATK100 from Chipset DP works fine, been using it on my old ASUS notebook.

Re: [REQ] Lenovo ACPI - Lenovo Energy Management Driver "ACPI\vpc2004"

@mr_smartepants
Just a question more. somebody have tried to add to XP CD  the alternative machine.inf (machine.inf+drvbck.pdb) ?
Somethime i'm using it to fix unknown device error. will be nice to be allready to XP CD, maybe the errors can be fixed at install time.
Usually i'm using it when downgrading vista to xp, to fix errors with non-drivers hardware, for example acpi buttons, etc.

Re: [REQ] Lenovo ACPI - Lenovo Energy Management Driver "ACPI\vpc2004"

@vmanda,
I'm looking at that .inf file.  Where did THAT come from?
Is that something that you created?
