Topic: [REQ] HP 3DGuard Driver

Hi, a lot of HP notebooks ned HP 3Dguard driver... i'm not able to classify right DP for this device, here a short description of 3dguard...

"This package provides HP 3D DriveGuard for the supported notebook models and operating systems. HP 3D DriveGuard protects the hard drive (HDD) by "parking the heads" if the notebook is accidentally dropped or is abruptly impacted by another object. NOTE: HP 3D DriveGuard provides RAID volume support on systems with the Intel RAID Controller Driver version 8.0.2 (or later). Only Intel RAID Controllers are supported at this time."

Here OS links:

Windows Vista/7 x86_x64 http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/Te … ob-78211-1

Someone can add it to right DP (and which is the right one? smile )

Re: [REQ] HP 3DGuard Driver

Sounds like a hardware function rather than a driver.  I imagine the utility just monitors the status of the drive and doesn't actually handle any of the critical functions.

Re: [REQ] HP 3DGuard Driver

We could stick this into the Third Party DriverPack "misc".

Re: [REQ] HP 3DGuard Driver

No need for a new API, the owner already has that capability.......
